Aegis Operation Bugged

OK last week Raptor rescue was bugged and now playing Aegis that was bugged.

Right at the start the Bot DD goes into reverse, the Schors just sits stationary and never moves  from the Western side of the map.

Then the convoy arrives seemingly with the Northern bot ships and the liberty ships don't turn for the escape location when the escorts are killed.

 

So how about instead of these silly cartoon halloween Operations WG try to develop the game so it works and concentrates on naval warfare.

 

So well done WG for adding another disincentive to play. (never mind I understand WG are not listening)

Operations done earn money for WG

Also you can do certain directives in Operations = guess you are not supposed to do that!

 

Probably Operations will get "killed" by WG sooner or later.

Never had this happen to me. Are you sure it was only that one time, or did you try again after the bugged session?

 

Either way, had this been a big problem, there would be more complaining here...

The bots are sometimes bugged, but it is rare.

Nonetheless it happens often enough that WG should fix that.

WG are really pathetic at programming bots,  seems like are 5 yo kids writing the code there,  the same crap is in co-op, with 2-3 min battles; You are lucky if you manage a dozen shots in those 2-3 min. before the game ends, bots are all rushing ahead like [edited],  and die like flies; Never use smoke to hide in, or hydro/radar, and you feel like you play tetris...

 

I wonder if WG staff are aware how ridiculous they are... I play co-op to achieve some directives faster , but what crap one can do in 3 minutes ?!....

Played this weeks scenario several times and only bug I experienced was the too aggressive Schorhs bot that sailed in between the Fuso / Kongo BB’s while normally it stays a bit more behind.

It's almost like WG want you to stick to playing PvP rather than using Co-Op for directives! My quickest Co-Op game was 3 salvos in a Yamato in a 2min 47sec game, but I'm a Co-Op main so I can deal with those "rare" games more easily than someone using Co-Op just for directives could as I'm not there for that.

I had this happen on my first Aegis game today.  Nothing you can do other than farm damage because you can't win. There were several weird things:

 

One transport did start moving but even when freed it kept sailing south.  This eventually spawned the Amagi etc and of course meant it could not be won

One of the BBs for the star spawned at the same time as the transports, way over in the top left corner then just sat there (I was in Furious so spotted it)

Shchors never moved.  Mahan woke up halfway through the game for some reason

 

However the other 17 Aegis games I had today after that were all fine (other than a bit of window licking)

Have not encountered the problems mentioned by OP in roughly 20 games of Op Aegis. Does not seem to be a general issue.

 

Co-op is particularly boring for BBs. Try to play DD to have a higher level of engagement.

Narai is also bugged, but not so severely, just as a result of pathing tweaks made to the AI. But the Bretagne consistently gets stuck behind it's little island at the back.

 

With Aegis it has been inconsistent. I only had it once out of many games, so it's not like it's easy to pinpoint the problem. But one of my clan mates had the same experience today. Oh, and in addition to the pathing mess one of the escort cruisers gunned down a transport ship at point-blank range before we got there.
