Hello cr4ck3n,

Thank you for contacting the Wargaming Players Support.

Your ticket has been marked and the refund will be done in bulk.
Please be patient and know that you are on our priority list !

If you have more questions, please feel free to contact us again.
Have a good day and good luck on the battlefield.

Kind regards,

Booster 1&2 refund:) while I'm 50% done with part 2 of PR event already that was done with 8 flags (5 dragon) 3 normal to get the 135k XP for cruisers & BB's done which lead to 400k XP directive also being close to complete fire/cit/torp directive complete and 2 also being almost done.. which means I should be able to finish the second part today. But when I look at part 3 I know I'll never be able to finish that within 3-6 days and best for last part 4 which for me looks stright up impossible even with having 12 days time to finish it. Just no way. Also flags arent infinite got between 150 and 172 of each dragon flag left doubt that will be enough for the entire grind. Let alone 400% XP and 777% FXP camo's only got 60 of each. And I'd like to think that I'm a fairly decent player ~140k dmg per game in musashi and other bb's pretty consistant and 80-120k in cruisers such as alaska, des moins, etc but it just seems crazy especially part4. I mean I got home from work yesterday 1530 and went on to grind till 2230 that's 7 hours which I refuse to do again it is just not fun.

No response to my ticket from player support yet, but apparently others already have received one.

The Mighty Jingles featured this in today and for now it looks like what I expected:

First mentioned in this video - please note the pinned comment where he clarifies a misunderstanding, or

watch this 3:53" video where he points to that.

TL;DR: rn it looks like: a) the boosters are being refunded; b) the doubloons for the container you get for purchasing the booster is deducted (unless the container is unopened in which case the container is deducted); c) any progress in the shipyard and in the event directives remain untouched.

- which is logical (in 'legal logic') because one might've reached that stage without boosters as well (WG: "you can get there for free"), and might only have performed factually less due to the same reasons that motivated the refund (simplified).

Yeah Smol will stop PR, how yes no

Slight misinterpretation : )

Smolensk is a ship i'm interested in anyway, as is i.a./e.g. Yoshino. The reason mentioning her is that she's also a TX ship and that you can get other premium TXs with the rewards of the current event with less grind necessary to get PR. The latter being equivalent to grind more/less 2 complete tech tree lines from scratch to TX. (Which would get you 1 - 2 TXs, TIXs, TVIIIs, ... + several TIX or TX premiums for the coal and fXP connected to that progress).

So I wasn't comparing ships but effort/reward ratios. Re. ship/ship comparisons.... I have, i.a., an Alaska ; )

Cheers o7

AFAIK it's only on EU it's happening (because of our stringent consumer-protection laws), on NA you don't get it reimbursed it seems.

Hilarious, how people always think that WG is doing this and that because of "EU consumer protection Law"...

I am actually certain that you can thank the great Community Managers at WG EU for initiating this.

‚Certain‘ as in you know them personally and are in contact with them, a/or know genuine internals, on the subject

or

as in you are convinced, for whatever reasons, that this is the case w/o any access to the actual internal processes?

Entirely non-rhetoric, just curious and trying to avoid misinterpretation : )

I have been refunded for the two boosters I purchased and feel that was more than I had expected. I think it was a fine response and it has improved my opinion of the support team. I imagine they have a pretty hard time dealing with constant complaints so a thank you from me in the courteous way in which they dealt with my query.

The customer support was not refunding people on reddit etc, when @MrConway contacted them personally and took care of it.

So I am convinced that the Community Managers initiated this. At least you can count on them.

There is no reason at all for me to doubt that, moreover it resembles my (purely subjective, 'third row') impression.

Thank you for your answer : )

THE MARKETING ACT Section 3. MISCELLANEOUS, DISABLING MENTION M.V. According to Section 3 of the Marketing Act, the quality and properties of the goods must correspond to the information in the advertisement. Inflated and misleading information about a product's excellence does not hold in court. As announced/promised here's a screenshot of my support ticket thread.

After a small nudge I finally received a reply, and a refund:

6000 au - 1250 au for the container,  i.e 4750 au returned. (3000 coal were also redacted, which had been in the container).

The rewards for reaching ship building milestones remained untouched, afaict.

Wishing everyone a merry crisis and a happy new fear.  ;->

No... sincerely: all the best! Cheers o7

So there was a refund even before the ship could have been build? i purchased the first booster 2nd of januari ( didnt have money for the game in late december and had money at the start of januari) long after the refund stopped. Why didnt they inform people in the game? there where 2 updates in late december they could have easily informed people in the game that actually play the game instead of reading the forums.

The refund was for people buying the boosters before realizing what they had to do.

U are completely brainwashed, u suggest that u "NEED" to read forums or other media in order to play a game and not be cheated out of money.

One of the reasons a lot of things do not make sense anymore is because of people like u, that just live in interactive nonsense that leeds to more nonsense in order to be updated about nonsense and after all that u support that nonsense.

Well eventually there will be enough people like u and that will be the time when a tomorrow comes that noone understands.

.... or this is an incident and u just repeat what someone else said.

No.

Just take a look at the directives.

Most people went: "Nope, not for me" after taking one look.

And when you plan to spend money, you should take at least a second look.

No forums needed...

But thinking for yourself seems outdated nowadays. Better blame somebody else. :Smile_great:

I didn't want the ship and I spent 0 on the PR. If you cannot be bothered to find out how the PR event works before deciding to throw money in, then you can only blame yourself for it. Don't come to the forum to whine because you were too lazy, decided to just spend the money and regret it later. If you had READ about how the event work, you would have known that the earlier you bought the boosters, the higher your chance of getting the ship cause guess what, it boosts the build rate of the PR in the dockyard.

If you only had money in January then you should have known that it is already abit too late, yet you still decide to throw money at WG. If that isn't someone without any brains then I don't know what is. Why do you even want to spend money on gambling to get a ship even when the odds are already against you is beyond me. Next time try using your brain abit and do some research before wasting your money. If you don't then it is your own fault for being dumb.

No. Many people distanced themselves from the event, to not support such behaviour from WG.

I could easily buy PR now, but will not do it, to not encourage WG to repeat such an event.

Your mindless behaviour is what WG is counting on.

Other people can and do read numbers and are able to do a rough calculation how much effort they would need for the event. The just said "nope"...

They did inform you in game. Since the client had a link to the news article:

https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/dockyard/#puerto-rico

If you feel too good to read the news articles... Well... Yeah...

If you feel too good to read the news articles... Well... Yeah...

I do always click thru the news articles and participate when i am able to, however i do not read every section there to play a game.

Its a GAME that people play to play not spend hours to read no matter on what deep link u can click.

It is  a darn shame u do not even understand what u have become or when pointed out u are not even able anymore to analyze yourself in your programmed behavior all u want is to justify yourself.

I play just WOWS and i am not some programmed so called "social" media monkey that feels the need to read everything and be updated every time there something new.

Did i make the mistake of trusting WG? yes i did, however this does not mean they are correct to swindle people out of they're dubloons/money.

Anyway i hope u can settle with the idea i most liklely will not get a refund, hope it puts a smile on your face and makes your day.

Have a good one.

Kind regards,

PaNzAr.
