_ramrus_ Weekend Tester, In AlfaTesters 618 posts 10,023 battles Report post #4 Posted December 16, 2019 Quote Just buy it: Why Puerto Rico is worth the money By Spreadsheet, December 13 2019 ... However, what these price-panicked pundits don't understand is that there's value in being an early adopter. And there's a cost to either delaying your purchase or getting an older-generation product so you can save money. While we don't have final benchmark results, the new features and enhanced performance of the Puerto Rico makes it worth buying now, even at sky-high prices. ... When you’re among the first to purchase a new premium ship like Puerto Rico, you take the risk that the technology won't work as well as advertised right away, that you won't find a ton of maps that support its special features and that the price will drop, making you feel like you wasted your money. However, when you pay a premium for cutting-edge components, you're also buying time, time to enjoy experiences. ... Life is short. How many months or years do you want to wait to enjoy a new experience? You can sit around twiddling your thumbs and hoping that Puerto Rico gets cheaper, or you can enter the world of whaling and high-cost, premium gaming experience today and never look back. When you die and your whole life flashes before your eyes, how much of it do you want to not be pixel ships? ... If you can possibly afford Puerto Rico -- even if it's not the most expensive model -- there's plenty of reasons to pull the trigger now. The time you spend waiting and complaining about it being overpriced is time you could be gaming with the most realistic user experience available.

That's my cat (£75, donation when adopting a large ginger cat from Battersea: https://www.battersea.org.uk/cats/cat-rehoming-gallery), a bottle of my favourite whisky (Clynelish, £40), tickets to take the family to the Cinema over Christmas (£50), and £30 to a charity of choice - https://www.crisis.org.uk. There may even be some cash left for a Laarge Laaaaate (being from the West of England, I can't order this without turning into a Pirate) and some KFC for the junk-food obsessed cat Battersea palmed off onto me....

[LADA] Gvozdika [LADA] Players 975 posts 10,423 battles Report post #9 Posted December 16, 2019 It will also buy 56 litres of Heinz ketchup - or 100 plus litres of unbranded tomato sauce. Or my personal favourite - 480 kg of spaghetti. Just under half a tonne of pasta. Being more practical - you could buy a notebook or min-spec laptop - if being crushed by spaghetti / drowning in ketchup doesn't take your fancy. Alternatively up to eight AAA game titles for PC/console. The semi-serious aside to all this is just how much WG are asking for a single ship. How the hell did we get to the stage of selling one premium for triple figures?

I'm a guitarist, but I'd buy a bass. I want a bass. I could get a good bass, a decent bass amp, and cabling all for the price of a Puerto Rico, with money to spare. I've been really happy with Cort products in the past. I may just buy from Cort again. Even their cheapest gear boasts high quality, durability and craftsmanship. Their gear lasts and sounds great. I had a Cort M200 way back when(Costs less than Puerto Rico ) and she was great. An inexpensive guitar, but, amazingly, she lasted for years. I played her like crazy and she took all kinds of abuse in foreign lands... it was great man. That was a decade ago and she would still be growling up a storm if she hadn't broken her neck while I was bringing her home for the last time . Damn airline! My own repairs have never held, and they don't make M200s anymore. That aside, she holds a special place in my heart... I need to take her to a Luthier, which unfortunately does not exist in the Seychelles. Anyway, little story over... A Cort Bass Not necessarily what I'll be buying, but you get the idea.

[-MNG-] M0bius_One Players 214 posts 4,292 battles Report post #13 Posted December 16, 2019 Alternatively, you can buy every single game in the Ace Combat series for the price of Puerto Rico and experience one of the most soulful, well-designed gaming series ever made. (I wish World of Warplanes was actually good, there's a serious lack of good Multiplayer flight games that aren't hard sims like DCS.)

[NAN0] HaachamaShipping Players 8,474 posts 10,052 battles Report post #15 Posted December 17, 2019 You could likely blow it all for one night at an adult establishment, have far more fun grinding experiences and even if it seems like a giant waste, at least you got something, not wait a month to lose it all. All of this with the honesty that they'll advertise it from the very start that you'll spend money to get f***ed. Honestly, though, saving it (or most of it) might just be for the best. Spending time with family and/or friends instead of slaving away in randoms might not even cost anything, yet still is priceless.

Since the Puerto rico- gate heist is 'no laughing matter, but also a 'laughable '' disappointing deception, humour is good alternative to the grind! so, since whale hunting is banned by international law.. wows , you may not hunt whales Besides, Russia is a oil producer anyway! but if whales can afford the Puerto Rico, is WoWs considering a whaling ship class? And a Greenpeace sea Shepherd faction? We should have a Moby [edited] campaign!?! A Hemingway captain? , the old man and his fish Anyway, yeah, $300 can get you a real week safari in (South) Africa, including whale watching!

That way WG aren't reaffirmed in their shitty behaviour AND you can do something nice. Win-Win. Or just save the money or invest it.
