I mean why else would you happily put up a video about something that has set the forums on fire, size inferno, and put the whole community against you? I do think it's option number 3, though. For one they acknowledged they at least recognised the dissatisfacion (mildly put) on the situation by putting the "apology" (if you can call it that) up ON ANOTHER SITE and they then proceed to throw salt in the wounds with putting up a vid about a thing that they acknowledge too was only aimed at the 000000,1% of the community. If that isn't the biggest FU towards the community's response to the dockyard and the PR, I don't know what is. I really started to wonder, is your community department trying to start a war, @MrConway? I mean, calling it an unsubtle move is an understatement. When more than 50% of your community is hurt by whatever you did, just hapoily putting a video out as if nothing is wrong shows either a major case of painfull obliviousness or a sign that you actively want to F your community in the back. And the dislikes under the vid should show you that what I just typed here is proof. I am not attacking you personally, I just am really wondering why 1.does everyone at WG understand the seriousness and size of the situation and 2.if so, what is the motivation behind putting up a vid that won't deliver it's message, but will only stoke the fires (on top of it being only for the 0000'1% of the community)? Either way, it will only make the company less loved and trusted. I advice the whole company to at least go completely silent on everything dockyard/PR related if you are not planning to really apologize and/or bring something positive to the community. Jingles explained and it's not the first time that this happens Colombia was a place holder name for Cleveland at t8 while Cleveland was still at t6. Some of us know the prices are from PTS because we were either part of the PTS or saw the videos on YouTube or screenshots on reddit/forum. However, most people have no idea where that price is coming from. One could easily assume that the 1000 doubloons per booster was the intended price and then they made it much more expensive before release. At least that's what I'd think if I didn't know about the PTS. They could have easily changed the values for the purpose of the video. They could have easily changed the value in post-production. They could have put a visible note "prices are from our PTS, will change once it goes live" on the video itself. Or at least they could have blurred it properly. WG would have avoided the storm if the PTS values had been followed. We would have been allowing for the business team to increase the level of difficulty in the directives. But the actual figures required are an order of magnitude higher than sensible for a grind over the next few weeks. So anyway I am out, and additionally actively considering having a 'Spending Holiday' with regards to purchasing premium time, flags, containers or ships.
