[WP70] ________________Morrison Players 892 posts 22,465 battles Report post #1 Posted December 16, 2019 Tier six is a good tier overal to start with I assume. Seven is possible but besides Scharnhorst there isn't much I'd see others play with no regrets. Hood while tanky, isn't really a ship for anyplayer when there's an Izmael present or any RU BB. Im asking this as I'm planning to give three ships away during Easter next year.

[PEZ] Yedwy Players 11,301 posts 39,586 battles Report post #3 Posted December 16, 2019 I guess you want some general T6 recomm... London will be good (if not OP) if she stays as she was in testing T61 is a good choice for any DD main BB wise in T6, well nothing really but Arizona might give most bang for buck
[THESO] KillStealBoss Players 12,123 posts 62,194 battles Report post #4 Posted December 16, 2019 For me : Lenin, Massachusetts, Kidd, Haida, Atago, Kaga, T-61. But for you I'll recommended just the T-61 mate. You know the reasons.

[HALON] Amon_ITA Players 708 posts 13,072 battles Report post #6 Posted December 16, 2019 Tier 6, i like to bring out Duca d'aosta, Graf Spee and Warspite. Tree not overpowered ships, but all of them have particular playstiles that makes them different from the norm.

genosse Players 460 posts 6,789 battles Report post #8 Posted December 16, 2019 In my opinion Tier VI: De Grasse (had only 2 games in her, but it instantly felt very comfortable), T-61, Duca d'Aosta (fun, but not easy/relaxing), Warspite, West Virginia 1941, Molotov Tier VII: Scharnhorst, Nelson (for a while, until you want something more maneuverable), Atlanta (difficult, but so satisfying if you manage to make it work), Haida For a reward ship that should satisfy every type of player, I'd like to emphasize De Grasse, T-61, Warspite, Scharnhorst and Haida. 66Schwifty Players 223 posts 4,848 battles Report post #10 Posted December 16, 2019 Asashio. and Massachusetts. holy shi... ehm, i mean those ships are just insanely good and fun to play. one shouldn't need to explain the Massachusetts. what's there not to love? and i didn't want to buy the Asashio at first. had the Harekaze already and was thinking "hmmm, it (Asashio) can only torp BBs and carriers? that must be silly, if it only could torp cruisers as well, i'd probably buy that". but then i played a game with my clanmate that had it (Asashio) and we talked about it a bit. well, a lot. long story short, he was singing praises about it, so i bought it (the B version, as it was 30% cheaper). and oh my freaking Poseidon that ship is great. probably the best concealment in game (5.4 km full stealth spec.), if you take the Torpedo Acceleration skill (IMO mandatory for Asashio) you get 72 knot torpedoes that can not be seen and/or avoided until it's too late with 16 km range AND a torpedo reload booster. regarding that "it can only torp BBs and carriers" - which ships are the first to die? DDs and cruisers. so there's plenty for the Asashio to farm at any point in game. your guns are no slouch either. they hit hard and most of all you have 4 of them pointing backwards. so if you get spotted and chased by enemy gunboat DDs you can fire 4 guns at them at all times whilst they can fire 1-2 at you without maneuvering (and thus losing speed, presenting a bigger target for you to shoot and putting themselves in a disadvantage). i have killed a couple of Fletchers and other gunboat DDs that thought of me as of an easy prey. simply put, Asashio is THE best premium in this game for me. by far.. my stats in Asashio (so far) - Spoiler

[GG-EZ] Rautainen_Biisoni Players 234 posts 16,427 battles Report post #13 Posted December 16, 2019 The only premium you will ever need is smolensk. All the other ships are now in power creep and smolensk is balans. Say anything else and you accuse that the spreadsheets are lying. You know what happens to people who doubt the wisdom of spreadsheets? Its getting proper education in gulag my friend. Buy smolensk with money. Eazy gg. Eazy wins. Otowi Beta Tester 297 posts Report post #14 Posted December 16, 2019 For tier VI: I would say that you can't go wrong with the grand old lady, the HMS Warspite. She manouvers well for a BB, and the guns are pretty accurate. WV 1941 is also a good choice. You also have Prinz Eitel Friedrich wich is a hoot full secondary spec. Her main guns are also nice. USS Arizona is a very good and forgiving ship. Tier VII: I would say HMS Belfast, but she is not easy to get a hold of outside of santa containers and events like Save The Children right now. She is also not cheap. You also have HMS Hood, Nelson and Duke of York. All are good and safe bets. Scharnhorst is also good fun. USS Atlanta is also good, but requires you to angle well. Her main thing is her high rate of fire And at last, if you should go for a tier V ship, HMS Exeter is a very nice ship for the tier.

[--] Captain_Newman Players 2,147 posts 16,474 battles Report post #16 Posted December 16, 2019 Best t6 DD is probably the t61. Cruiser? Hmm.. DeGrasse, maybe? BB, probably still Warspite. My favorite t7 premium is hands down the Haida.

Beaker71 Players 425 posts 15,235 battles Report post #18 Posted December 16, 2019 Scharnhorst is always a good laugh, and I generally don't like playing BBs. T-61 is great but doesn't do well in +2MM (what does!) Kidd despite the awful torps does have good smoke + heal, so copes better than most with +2MM
Panocek Players 13,176 posts 13,617 battles Report post #19 Posted December 16, 2019 Its hard to tell as there are so many brands of crazy fun out there. If you liked Pensacola and New Orleans, then premium Indianapolis should be right up your alley. Bonus points for 10km radar and almost 17km range, should uptiering prove annoying. Massachusetts needs dedicated captain to get the most out of her, Scharnhorst is very fun in Narai with secondaries blasting, in Randoms when uptiered... arguable. If you enjoyed La Gasoline, then premium Da Grasso twin should be even more spot on, should midtier french premium CL is something you're looking for Haida and Cossack are IMO closest to "OP" premium destroyers should you actually play for the objective and (try to) bully your way through caps. Dunno if they fit into your particular brand of fun, Cossack can live during Year of the Carrier due to (up to) 7 smoke charges, which may or may not trigger enemy CV player. And personally believe WG doesn't deserve any money, not after CV REEEwork and certainly not after Puerto Fiasco. So give away other games on Steam/Uplay/whathaveyou or even pizza&beer coupons?
