Carriers, Research Bureau, Puerto Rico... next?

Let's recapitulate some this year (major) events by WG for WOW:

So it started with the new CV play blew up and caused so many changes to the game (still broken).

Then came the Research Bureau that allowed to make create tier 10+ ships (still rediculous)

Then came the Russian invincible fleet (Smolensk still mega OP)

The daka dake ships (Harugumo, Kleber, Colbert, Smolensk, Benham etc)

German Captain for 175k coal (seriously?)

The Puerto Rico disaster (it's x.mas, as a commercial company you give, not take players money and time)

Next will be the Submarines? Decreasing the possibility to make damage (they are low HP, no repairs) by 30-40% depending on the number of subs in play. You will have games were 2 subs are left that can't find or kill each other. Or other type ships with radio location......

What are you guys doing there??? Shape up!!

(and then I am not even talking yet about the silly girl voices, stupid camo's, launching 5 fighters of a Cruiser of BB)

What could you guys be doing?

- how about some new maps, after 14.000 games I know them already

- get some actual war looking camo's & flags out there

- Add storm, high waves (harder to hit)

- Add fog, sometimes you see further than other times

- Bigger maps with more ships?

- less arcade (daka daka) ship play but promote more tactical (think more instead of pressing the fire button ever 2,5 seconds)

- pick up crew sunk friendly and HP goes up by 3-5%

- get crew to man the AA guns

- introduce scout planes

- night battles

Cruise missiles! To be unlocked on existing T9+ ships through the completion of (time gated) super grindy directives, or paying a lot of money! Russians get a special missile variant which is better.

Those or another impossibly grindy event, whichever they get ready first.

See my feedback on those.

add 3-4 ships with only 1500HP.... will be so nice for the BB players. Making 250-300k damage in a game will become impossible

(besides the fact that on the test server a game would not end cause 2 subs could not find each other or kill each other.. they both have to be on the surface for that)

For Russian Ships from T8 on there should be the "SS-N-19 Shipwreck" available ...  in T10 the nuclear version  :Smile_trollface:

the cv re-re-work was actually explained as dumbing down the tactic and skill set to make it more arcadey and less rts..

( anti cv community contributors (who couldn't manage RTS cv's) were the idiots who naiively incorrectly said RTS gaming -  is a failing genre - so remove it from cvs, so they are accessible to the less skilled).

Yet even in an arcade game about warships it's absurd to be piloting planes.. which so few ppl seem to even realise.

WG  brought the arcade planes for "cv captains"  to save on their wowp re-work fiascos and losses. Actually No carrier captain ever piloted a plane squadron, it would be abandoning his post. The actual cv ship is now basically managed by a ridiculous bot dumb ai that cannot even manage auto pilot ).

The cv re-rework  that doesn't work, was obviously about saving on the embarrassing wowp loss, and cashing in on console and handheld devices market.

They been Dumbing down wows to lowest common denominator arcadey pac-man type skill set since.

Well I guess RN heavy cruisers early access is due either next patch or one after that + the Chinese new year event with that Pan-Asian BB that is in the works as the center point...

Now since that thing IIRC is T9 it might be the Jean Bart replacement for FreeXP/Coal and in shop...

No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by spreadsheets intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own; that as players men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacency players men went to and fro over this server globe about their little affairs, serene in their assurance of their empire over matter (that's RN BBs for you). It is possible that the infusoria under the microscope do the same. No one gave a thought to the older worlds of Lesta as sources of human danger, or thought of them only to dismiss rampant inbalance and RU Bias the idea of life upon them as impossible or improbable. It is curious to recall some of the mental habits of those departed days. At most terrestrial men fancied there might be other developers men upon Mars, perhaps inferior to themselves and ready to welcome community feedback missionary enterprise. Yet across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, spreadsheet macros, CC summits, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this playerbase earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us. And early in the twentieth century came the CV Rework great disillusionment. Closely followed by the …. Dockyard.

THAT special missile variant that malfunctioned recently during trials on August 8th near Nyonoksa, killing 5 personnel and irradiating the surrounding area?

Or how about some achievements that are not damage focused and reward some teamplay?

Witherer, High Caliber, Kraken etc. all get rewared during the match. Unlike Fireproof, Dreadnough or Unsinable etc.

Maybe some Achievements for potential damage, spotted enemys, spotting damage (and make it finally worth spotting that you can earn acutally EXP and Credits).

Probably way to hard for WG to actually think about the games state/balance. All they see is :cap_money:

anybody remember how the NTC, now RB, was supposed to be balanced by free premium consumables?? (though based on WGs ludicrous logic)

well the unicums and 'hardcore veterans' got the ntc/ rb and their  surplus of so-called "free"-xp got them the exclusive top tier premiums ;

but no free premium consumables for the plebs - so conveniently omitted...

Obviously, it's Iona and her sisters; I-401 submarine which carries Aircraft.......

A sneaky CV which can submerge, perfectly balanced, comrade-san!:cap_cool:

OR:

Nikolai Tesla's super top secret railgun project for Glorious Chrysanthemum Emperor!:cap_rambo:

OR:

The Royal Navy actually tested the feasibility of using icebergs as carriers during WW2, try sinking an iceberg!

Don´t forget Benham and USSR + Fernch special commanders intensive and time constrained grinds...

Why the hell WG is not using the capmaign system they creatd and everyone liked to grind "at your own pace"? (retoric question....)

Looks like a Nanuchka. That would require a new class, missile corvettes/fast attack craft. Considering we have already ships in the game that went into service in the mid-50s, even sporting helipads, that does not sound too far-fetched. Maybe you could add them as a tree starting at T11! :Smile_veryhappy:
