After finishing 3rd directive and getting Gorizia, I am taking it easy. Will try to finish 4 and the Gorizia missions but PR is so out of reach it’s not worth bothering.

This whole event is proof that Wargaming marketing team is not only drunk out of their minds, but also unable to count . With millions of people as their player base, they screwed up the "Gift" aspect, instead of making HUGE profits from selling something cheap like no more than 3000 dabloons worth of real life money, to all the people willing, and the willing was 90+% of people ( still millions of people) you asked 54000 dabloons worth out of the no more than 10000 people that are stupid enough to buy it, just so you can have a statistic how often that thing is being focused in randoms. Good job on failing like Disney and EA.

Next time ask even more it might work out better ( or it might just reduce the overall number of players drasticly)

It certainly sound like a cliché at this point, but I've long ago decided to never give them a single dime nor even half a penny. Hah. As many times as I alone have said it, they should be paying us.

The game is nice, but if only it and its community was treated with some respect instead of something to wring ever larger sums cash out of to please the shareholders! Considering the servers will one day go dark, and all this will be vanish into the haze of memory, they sure seem to be busy ruining this minute grain in the stream of time of ours to scrape in every coin they manage.

Let's presume that the average XP/ battle is 1350, base XP is 1000 and free XP is 350. You'll need 5300 battles x 0,33h = 1749 hours/ 24 = 73 days. 
That's without multipliers.
We add all the multipliers we can add. Wishful thinking lead us to 36 days of non stop playing WoWs.  The deadline was 26 days. 
And i'm talking just about the missions with XP winning, not about those when you'll need to shoot a ship in the radar with the secondary armament at 9km, when she's moving backward, at 15kts and you're in the eye of the cyclone.

Dear Wargaming & World of Warships Employers

 

When you begin Christmas event for getting Puerto Rico I bought first two boosters for 6000 and 8000 Doubloons and I believed if I collect all daily shipments and able to get additional 4 free boosters that I can completed Puerto Rico in time. But today I made calculations with two payed boosters and additional 4 free boosters I collected until now 34.192.000 and in last 8 days I can collect 10.713.000 points which mean that I will collect around 44.905.600 from 51.300.000 which mean that I will be short for about ‭6.395.000‬ points.

 

I want to kindly ask you to help me with finishing ship or refund me in some way in money or Doubloons. I am person with disability (cerebral palsy) and I have many health problems which prevent me in been good gamer from Contractures (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contracture) in hands which made my amming difficult and incorrectly, I have slow reflexes so avoid shells and reaction in right time and on end my vision also is bellow normal and it made me gaming problems too.

So completing of your objectives which are difficult are much more difficult to me (I never able to finish most of your objectives in campaigns and get admiral Yamamoto and William Halsey). I also cannot play WoW for all days because this will be bad for my health conditions. I send you my medical report to prove my words. (in support ticket)

 

I don't want to pay additional 10.000 Doubloons for third paying booster to finish it because Puerto Rico is not worth that much to me only ship for which I will pay additional 10.000 Doubloons is USS Missouri with Commander Dasha so If I buy 10.000 Doubloons can you give me USS Missouri with Commander Dasha instead Puerto Rico?

 

Also I will like if real Dasha can send me one of her picture with dedication and autograph as Christmas gift

My biggest hobby in real life is collecting of naval uniforms and I have big collection if you are interesting I can send you shots

Have anybody noted that the RNG is specially "capricious" from the beginning of the directives? Do you think that it has anything to do with the fact that, to finish those looong directives, you MUST make lots of XP, damage, kills, etc?

Got the same reaction here, So eventually you've bought 2 booster for 14k doubloons and you only got there for 2 mega santa crates . Nice deal for WG I am wondering if they even care about their players because I would love to see what they will do about this. No ship and 14k doubloons spent for 2 Crates Nice job WG.

I dont know where you Find that but there stands only that we can use the boosters to 7 januari, so what you are telling me is that ive spend Some doubloons 14k for only 2 santa boxes and stil have No chance for getting the ship. I just wanne have refund of doubloons because there is No way off getting the ship before 14 januari. Ruffnecks

This is what is wrong with WG. Until now, you could grind a ship, or you could buy it and, if grinded, get the refund of that ship. Not in this case, it seems; you buy "accelerators" and, if you can't make the grind, you LOSE ALL THAT MONEY. Is this a bad joke or what?

They seem to be in full damage control mode right now. 

Some of my posts are gone as well. No explanation. No message from whoever removed it. Just gone... I always try to remain polite and refrain from using profanities. Sooo... What exactly did I post that violated the rules? Kinda hard to know when no-one tells you...

I wonder... Do they really think they can make this whole debacle go away by simply removing posts talking about it?

I bet many other companies would have refunded Vedran's boosters AND he would be sailing with his totally free Puerto Rico right now, writing thankfully in the forums how much he likes the game and appreciates the staff.

 

Instead he gets told by the staff that WG will keep his money and his situation nor disability is not their problem!

 

I feel so disgusted about this that I don't want to play the game at all.

Which unfortunately means that you gave them exactly what they wanted: more money.

It was a clever trap - some might even say scam... Use FOMO to get people to pay upfront. Then use sunken cost to make them pay even more after the grind.

The only way we can make companies stop doing this is by voting with our wallets.

I'm on the same line. This is a free game, we get fun by playing  it. 

I even agree the PR directives were written like in an alpha-stage game, 

BUT 

The simple fact that there is a possibility, even very remote and extremely time consuming, to get a free ship, even if it is not fantastic, is still FREE and noone is forced to get it.

A few can, most of us, including me, can't. But hey, we still play a wonderful game, don't we ?

Totally agree

Gorizia seemed reachable and provided some boosts for PR, which themselves gave intermediary rewards (and I'm coal hungry), but after Directive 3 I don't  care anymore and play only for fun.

Well I managed to grind out the Gorizia, finished it on friday or so.

The assignments were a pain in the [edited], as they were built to have as few overlapping ones as possible.

Think as of now I have not managed to finish the firedamage assignment in level 1 where you need a DD.

 

Played as I normally do during the holidays, getting the 2 dailies and if I had fun a few missions more.

Guess sunk about 2-4 hours in it daily.

 

Also I got lucky, I think, as I got a Hunghe from a mega container.

 

As it stands I will get to stage 25 on the Puerto Rico before the event ends.

I would finaly finish the 7th part of this Puerto Rico mission. I have a plan and I would like to spend the whole weekend to do it.
But there is no way to do as i planned because a technical issue show this:


After the battle i noticed there were not any mission enabled.

 

But the Hall of Fame screen showed up without any counted points.

 

After game restart, the result is same.
