The convo starts about here (55 minutes in, if it doesn't take you there directly):

Don't forget we were all reminded not to bring the PR screwup to that particular charity stream.

Did you guys not see the NA lead ... (something, don't remember the title) Boyarski describe with a wide grin that all metrics show that players are happier than they ever were and therefore there is no need to change anything about the current update (and the PR disaster). He specifically came to the 24 charity stream to provoke NoZoup that was a guest right then (NoZoup posted the video just up this thread, unsurprisingly also decrying the PR fiesta).

Btw well done WG, they kept asking players not to bring up PR in the stream because it is unrelated and for a good cause. What does a WG representative do? Starts flaming a CC about the (very fair) video he created about PR.

Obviously they don't change the grind when such idiots are in charge. Man, I was disgusted...

That's really a righteous half-truth as far as I'm concerned. I AM happier than ever about most aspects of the game. The core game is GREAT. Art is wonderful. The EU community engagement people (Conway, Crysantos, etc.) are certainly some of the finest I've seen in any game.

There's just that all-important "but" -- the way they treat their paying customers like total dogsh*t. The scammy, predatory and intentionally obfuscated communication towards the people ultimately paying their salaries. And even after called  out on it, they respond with more and more spin and lies.

This is second-rate, third-world bullsh*t, and I am sorry but unless something fundamentally changes with the way WG approaches their customers, I am done.

This is absolutely disgusting! Another WG manager showing their total lack connection with the player. Boyarski is a muppet worried only of keeping his position and defending the absolute crap show of WOWS 2019.

Being of a much older generation, and having spent a fair amount on 4 accounts on this. The statement, is not an apology for the core of the event, simply a statement that they did not explain ot properly, not much new there. I won't be criticing them for the event, how they set it up, explained it, or falsely apologised. If an apology is sincerely meant, you do NOT apologise for the explanation, you actually CHANGE the original format. It's quite clear, that many of the events are little more than tactics for making money, I do not have an issue with businesses making money, but simply put, if companies clearly show a lack of regard for their customer base, and do not offer genuine in game opportunties, to regular players, like I have always done, I simply stop spending. I may be lucky I have the time being retired, but even now its put the game into a mindless mind numbingly boring event.....

Making it even more mind numbingly boring.....is that many of the achievements you need, cannot be used in all battle formats.

Like the GAMBLING ads, WHEN THE FUN STOPS......STOP !!!!!

Boarski needs to be taken behind the woodshed and given an old fashioned "corrective treatment".

And the brown cleaned off his nose.

I sent ticket 2 days ago for refund of Puerto Rico premium boosters and still no response. I understand support is busy but my question is; You announced 26th is last day for refunds. If support doesnt replay my ticket, am i gonna lose my doublons or because of before 26th i sent ticket, still will be possible to refund?

One thing WG can’t be accused of is being classy.... I am honestly amazed if WG really do think that their game and player base is right where they want it because I Donte knot of a single person in our clan that is happy with the game in general, let alone this PR disaster.

Russian CSR/PR see so be eerily similar to the CCCP method of PR..... say what you want people to believe and assume they will believe it.... regardless of it being true or not.

I looked up the word "shill" in the dictionary and there was just a link to @IEarlGreyTV funny that?

Shame how a previously decent CC has sunk so low since taking the 40 pieces of silver.

Is there any evidence of this? CCs cover interesting things from PTS all the time. If they had to be 'pressured' into it I don't see why they'd stick around as CCs, seeing as they don't get paid to fill the role. It's well established that the requirements of upcoming events are reduced on PTS for the purposes of testing, so I don't see any indication that WG were attempting to mislead in this way. I briefly re-watched Flamu's video on the PTS Dockyard and he didn't give any suggestion that the (laughably easy - e.g.: set a single fire) PTS directive requirements would be the same on live. If other CCs (or Flamu at some other time) were giving the impression that Dockyard directives would be so trivial to achieve, the responsibility lies with them for misleading their viewers in that respect, minor as it is compared to WG's shamelessly duplicitous and exploitative behaviour in other areas.

It is entirely possible (no, really..) that the PTS was not set up to deceive but to gauge the event on how to fix the pricing, for instance of those premium boosters. It is also even possible the designers were working in good faith as we've seen how good the concept of the dockyard and shipbuilding project is. In this sense, you could say the premium boosters were like a pre-purchase option offering the ship at a price lower than the actually selling price was inteded to be, 24k vs 35k. They might have, if so, designed the event and pricing to be wholly transparent. It's just that.. at some point some really scummy people in WG management decided to take advantage of it for their own purposes which resulted in what's now known as the Puerto Rico dumpster fire.

Anything's possible. WG has gotten enough wrong in this mess to hold their feet over the fire for a long time to come without speculating that their regular, innocuous behaviours (having easier directives on PTS than on live) have some dastardly ulterior motive behind them. They may well have been observing PTS in order to set the directive requirements but there is nothing wrong with that in itself. The key problem is and always has been the sheer magnitude of the directive requirements, no matter how they came to that decision.

Well, the directives combined with the time limit and the option (necessity!) to skip parts by paying up front or afterwards... or both...:Smile_amazed:

With all the defecation that hit the fan in past 2 weeks, I have silver-lining, a cherry on top of WG poopcake.

There is like 99.9% chance that there will be actually no-one on the Hall of Fame roster after 7th directive unlocks. That tells you everything about GrindoRico.

Yes I have my small part in #PuertoRicoDebtBailout. When I've learned about doubloons refund building already started and after consideration I decided against - they would deduct over-inflated valuation of "rewards" so I would get back basically 40%. WG should pay off all PR debt with this event and still have dosh for disgraceful beings like Mr EarlGrey. To challenge, gloat & bait Zoup, chap who clearly is couple levels above EG in terms of intricate knowledge about what he is talking about, is so [-*yes*I'll'*edit*this*word*myself*Mods*-] it's not even tragicomic. Now everybody knows that comrade EG is skull of hot air with ears held with a piece of string. Good soviet drone. The end.

I have a message: don't do PTS anymore. WG deserve nothing at all.

when the timer runs out will the boosters still contribute on the construction = it will take much longer to get it but the it will still be built?

There is some confusing information in the article here:

https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/new-year-2020-event/

I really can't make much of it, sorry. The booster stop giving points, seems certain. I am under the impression, at that point you need to pay one of the 'stage' prices to unlock the ship. What happens if you haven't even reached the 35k ransom level.. no idea. Instant fail?

It was mentioned somewhere that after 13 January (or apparently 14 for EU server), the points stop ticking. However if you have some boosters left to buy, you can still do so and get the instant bonuses the provide (obviously the boost to the speed points tick is pointess and lost at that point).

And yes, if you've reached any of the stages allowing for the buyout, that will be available as well.

In other words, they'll be more than happy to take your dubloons even after the next update drops. :Smile_trollface:

Once the timer runs out, the boosters can only give you the instant boost (xx million points)... no points per second gain will be obtainable after that.

As long as you've reached the "magic barrier", you'll have the "WIN" button calling you to give WG about 30,000 doubloons.
