@noventsYou might want to start a topic in Gameplay section, give it a clear heading like 'client crashes when entering dockyard' or something. Give all the details you can there. Maybe someone else has had this same problem.

oke,

- uninstalled the official Modstation mods

- rebooted the computer

- vanilla version works

- installed mods again … and so far so good.

thanks @Karasu_Hidesuke

I swear to God, the Amazon forest has less bugs than this patch

Hello, it is satire and goes to show WG hypocrasy! You missed the point.

You miss the point if you think discrimination is funny. "Hurr its a joke". No, it influences how people think about a protected category of people. This has been proven. This is exactly why Jingles disqualified the would-be winner of a competition for a similar "joke" in the title of this entry....

Sorry to say this, but War Gaming has a serious problem.

Watch this video, and find out what's wrong, end what to do about it.

Thanks for destroying whole X-Mass.

That is a very good video highlighting the problem. An interesting perspective, too. It's ironic we are talking about a PR disaster in connection with the PR event... One big issue, at least for me, is that following what we seen of WG's predatory and downright scummy business tactics, it is going to be massively difficult to overlook the situation unless, though unlikely, they decide to come clean in a sense.

I'm affraid they stick the neck in the sand (dutch saying), and do nothing about it. While it would be soo easy to change things in a simple patch, to make it more easy for the mayority of the players to get the ships for X-Mass more easy.

By now it is pretty clear the PR grind is rigged like hell. Apart from maybe the 1% of the Unicum level players, the rest who still want to take part in it at all, are facing two choices. Pay up early (boosters) or late (whatever you need to buy to get the ship) or if you mess up the calculations (which is very easy to do), both.

Profit.

The individual missions are hard, most are prolly doable with time, but that is the problem; you don't have that time; that's the event is so rigged so you get that sunk cost fallacy in both time/effort and money.

The fairest solution would be to remove the time limit, as I've said before. Especially, since from a technical standpoint that is more feasible than starting to redesign the stages and lessen the mission requirements while the event is already in progress.

That's exactly what they are doing.

It's up to us if it will work for them or not.

Thank you for the large explanation or the PR problem WG has.

To add to this. WG has been generous every time around the New Year.

The problem WG has is they made this thing so expensive (a tier 8 battleship costs as much as a complete game), that they do exactly why the russian revolution started.

Apparenty this kind of behaviour is in the genes of the makers of WG-games.

In world of tanks they bring out double barreled soviet fantasies because the russians felt thrown back after the Progetto 46.

In world of warships a complete line of fantasy comes out after the poor performance of the premium russian tier 5 battleship.

Ships like Smolensk, Stalingrad etc, etc just for PARTRIOTTIC reasons as they explained themselves, play a role!

Now follow what happens in Russia at the moment and you understand what they are doing. Just pimping the everything that is russian so they will not lose their face.

I bet the GRU has a finger in this company as well...

Next thing is they, when you ask something, remark something or give comments in the official tickets, they blame the player

posting or his equipment FIRST. The problem is NEVER on the side of WG.

Then they say:  just put your stuff at the forum so the community can react.

Well the WoWs community is slowly growing to the same lavel as the tankie community (or are they just starting to play warships?)

The bullying, cursing, cancer wishes and all that was not done in WoWs is coming over from Minsk (homebase of tankies).

War gaming just think: If some company in the west wakes up and creates a game like yours, you're done. Simple is that.

Thats the way of the market. Look at Apple's strategy and marketing way's, but not only the financial way as you do now.

If your customers get grip on a game of this level, taking customers more serious, WG is done.

Unfortunately with one more billionaire in Russia with loads of cash on an unreachable account for Moskva on Malta....

Did you guys not see the NA lead ... (something, don't remember the title) Boyarski describe with a wide grin that all metrics show that players are happier than they ever were and therefore there is no need to change anything about the current update (and the PR disaster). He specifically came to the 24 charity stream to provoke NoZoup that was a guest right then (NoZoup posted the video just up this thread, unsurprisingly also decrying the PR fiesta).

Btw well done WG, they kept asking players not to bring up PR in the stream because it is unrelated and for a good cause. What does a WG representative do? Starts flaming a CC about the (very fair) video he created about PR.

Obviously they don't change the grind when such idiots are in charge. Man, I was disgusted...

I have to mention, after being less impressed to say the least on Puerto Rico launch i decided to buy 2 boosters and grind it out. But now it just keeps coming less impressive stuff. Is this where we are heading in the future it won't take me long to get rid of my account and bury this game for good.

Ok Puerto Rico is a huge tradegy, and special upgrades i'm not sure what to think of. And then, lets have clan brawl 9vs9 with some cool rewards that VERY FEW CLANS WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY 9vs9 Clanbrawl on SAT 21st DEC ?????????????????????   AND YES LETS MAKE A 4vs4 that you probably will be able to play with some crap rewards , some coal some steel  keyword "some". And then a 12vs12 Tier 10 event, with 15 wins over 4 hours to get the big gift container. Made so very few will be able to play or able to get. WHY 9vs9 and 12vs12 REALLY

THIS WHOLE DECEMBER EVENTS GIVES ME A VERY BAD TASTE

Every event, every brawls, every grind has been doable for most, all the sudden THIS crap, no other words for it. I play in a reasonable big clan, and we just get full sessions in clanbattles in. Can't imagine how smaller clans have it.. 3vs3 we could help each other , change players so those few that needed or liked to play could achieve it and even have 2 groups of players, but this on the most busy day in christmas, lets just make it SO FKN BIG THAT NO ONE CAN MAKE IT... Is this only so you don't have to give away 4-5 Containers?? , I really don't get the thought process behind this..

Well done again WG, push our limits see how far you can take this.. Would like to hear if this is just me being spoiled or idk, just seems like waste to make this events like this.. And right after Puerto Rico event, this doesn't look like some nice christmas event for people to enjoy and get some awards, maybe even a bit goodwill from the Players after PR disaster...

just to add, its also in middle of Puerto Rico objective 3, that you kindly made a good 30 hour grind................

Small question ... what is better .. to sell 5x ship for 20€ or 1x 44€ ... becouse I know people who want some "products", but they are expensive for them. And from WG side is "no mercy"for beiing poor.

And this is not only my country, that is almost whole eastern Europe.

same in western Europe mate. I can only afford a premium day every now and then just because I am not  a Doctor.

I should be a Lawyer or something like that  to buy premium ships.

Puerto rico is worth one months rent , you know... for a virtual good.... its nuts, I rather spend it on nice food and wine  :)

I already left a comment on the other thread but this guy was unbelievable.

I'll just repeat the end of my other message: His comments were disgusting, inappropriate, unacceptable and totally uncalled for.

BTW, I'm sure the commerce watchdogs are watching the forums now as well... every complaint may well be a black mark against WOWS...

By the same token, deleting posts, locking threads and/or banning people may NOT look good to the watch dogs... and I know the E.U. watchdogs are REALLY tough... (they made FaceBook end up paying a 5 billion Euro fine)

I agree with @GSP_Dibbler and what he said above. 100%

There are so many games that this usually goes under the radar unless it is flagrant lying/fraud by a really big game like Fortnite. WOWS is a "old" lesser known game with no  publicity in mainstream media.

By the way, people, lets be honest.

This whole forum is used as a pressure valve for WG.

No-one watches it. This is just a drain for negative comments.

Wargaming does not understand or have anything concearning public relations, if there is nothing to gain.

This is company policy that has killed many companies before them.

But they don't know, as that was between 1917 and 1991 :cap_yes:

For your information, Wargaming already took revenge.

Bought 8 Megagift containers. they contained the same camo and signals as the normal containers and ZERO ships.

All in all 900 gold. Just check what that costs.

The soviets are trying to rip the west. You have been warned.

Has anyone got a clip of Zoup interacting with the WG employee on the stream? Sounds interesting.

Am 14.12.2019 um 14:06, samphilconlor sagte:

2) CC's were pressured to publicise the event and given misleading information on the test server about how easy it would be to achieve

Is there any evidence of this? CCs cover interesting things from PTS all the time. If they had to be 'pressured' into it I don't see why they'd stick around as CCs, seeing as they don't get paid to fill the role. It's well established that the requirements of upcoming events are reduced on PTS for the purposes of testing, so I don't see any indication that WG were attempting to mislead in this way. I briefly re-watched Flamu's video on the PTS Dockyard and he didn't give any suggestion that the (laughably easy - e.g.: set a single fire) PTS directive requirements would be the same on live. If other CCs (or Flamu at some other time) were giving the impression that Dockyard directives would be so trivial to achieve, the responsibility lies with them for misleading their viewers in that respect, minor as it is compared to WG's shamelessly duplicitous and exploitative behaviour in other areas.

I don't consider the normal gifts from normal boxes as a Mega Gift from Santa. I do't know what your perception of a mega gift is, it's not mine in this respect.

The Grind is a Joke. But well. Game Decision. Dont care so much.

The High Price for Buying it is actually fine with me. Even with that we got enough Noobs with T10 already. Making it Cheaper so we Hundreds of T10 Noobs with PR would be Crab.

And with the Refund available I even forgive them for making false promises which were clearly on purpose. Nobody can sell me the Story that this was just *bad communication* seriously.....

But well water under the Bridge.

But what is and stays absolute trash and what is a clear No Go which will make me Leave this Game if it becomes Standard.

Is the Sunk Cost Fallacy bullcrab.

If they do this more often in the Future. I will do the dame as with EA and Bethesda and not even consider their Games anymore. No matter if its entirely new Game or whatever.
