IF today, 2:days before building starts i lay down the 6k doubloons and just sit back and let it rip, can someone tell me please, will it complete in time.?
 

so, need to know ,how many Tick points are needed in total, takeaway the 2 * 500,000 given as gifts and then divide remainder by the rate of tick decay by the number of days available will it reach zero before clock runs out..

 

if the clock does run out, IF the first doubloon pack is bought, how many directives need to be completed in addition to guarantee ship completion?

 

oh yeah btw, i think its a real rip off by WoWs but i am interested in seeing IF just spending one boost is enough or if you need two.

 

FOR RESEARCH SAKE, if nothing else... to guage how bad this free ship really is.

No,

 

Even with all 3 gold boosters the maths says 59 days I think to build PR. You only have 28 days to do it, so you need to grind some directives or go deeper into your wallet

I've updated these calculations with the standard boost rate of 125XP/min that is visible in one of the pictures from WG's even description.

 

Puerto XP Build Cost: 51 300 000

 

Free booster instant XP Boost: 500 000

6K Booster instant XP Boost: 4 500 000

8K Booster instant XP Boost: 6 000 000

10K Booster instant XP Boost: 7 500 000

Total instant XP Boost: 18 500 000

 

Remaining XP: 51 300 000 - 18 500 000 -= 32 800 000

 

XP Boost per minute (im not sure about the what the base XP per minute is so this is were my calc might be incorrect)

Standard rate: 125

Free Booster: 6

6K Booster: 104

8K Booster 138

10 Booster: 173

Total boost per minute: 546

Minutes per day: 60 x 24 = 1440

Total XP boost per day: 546 x 1440 = 786 240 XP

 

32 800 000 / 786 240 = > 41,7 days 

 

Event time is 30 days so it is not possible with just purchasable boosters.

 

If you are able to unlock the first grindable booster and apply it before the event starts: 750 000 instant XP boost and 104 per minute XP Boost. 

 

32 800 000 - 750 000 = 32 050 000

XP Boost per minute 546 + 104 = 650 XP per minute

Total XP boost per day with first grindable booster unlocked at event start: 650 x 1440 =936 000

 

32 050 000 / 936 000 = 34,2 days, still not possible, need to unlock atleast 2-3 of the grindable boosters. Also depends on how fast you manage to unlock them as you "miss out" on boost ticks per minute.

And No. Said this a few Times already. But even with 3 Gold Boosters you effectively have to Finish the Directives. Either Finishing the Early Ones in a Riduculous Timeframe. Or Finishing all of em before the Event Ends.

 

This Ship you either Buy it. Or you dont get it.

No, Wargaming wants you to insta buy the first one, without reading the directives. Then buy the second and third ones, after reading the directives. Finally, do the complete buyout after having invested your doubloons and free time into a hopeless grind.

Per day: 546 * 1440 = 786 240

With first grindable 200 token boosters: 546 + 104 = 650

The way I calculated it, that's about it. You will get enough points to complete up to stage 30 and starting phase VI if you use the FREE booster and buy all the three premium boosters at 24k RIGHT AT THE START before the clock starts to tick. The rest you have to grind.

 

The interesting question would be, do you have to buy all the three premium boosters or will 1-2 be enough, OR... if you buy all three, will you be able to grind it in time through the token boosters or not.

Stage 30 out of 36 might sound close to the finish.

At stage 30 you only done 70% of the XP gain that is needed, you still got > 15 000 000 XP left?

I think the point here is you can’t  just buy it.. you have to do the directives as well as buying it to get enough xp and even then its a grind from hell.

bought 2 boosters cause i had them in port. most of them igot from ranking out and the dreadnaught mishap who was a few weeks ago. so i still consider it free if i use 2 boosters !

You can buy it. If you got a spare 200 euros to throw away. Don't think the ship is worth anywhere near that much.....

First booster actually drops your required grind from 56 hours to 47 hours per day. If you buy all 3, you can do it with an easy 32 hours grind per day...

I was saving doubloons all year for the Christmas, so spent them for 2 boosters as soon as I could. Gambling boxes don't interest me. Got also Gorizia, to move things faster. I believe, it's doable now for me to get PR on time.

When I finally got to play last night I saw a depressing number of Gorizia's. The people who broke out their credit cards to do so will doubtless spend yet more to finish the Puerto Rico grind, so WG will no doubt wind up making a fortune from the gullible. BTW I heard Flamu/iChase saying they've seen one Puerto Rico in the wild already.

I logged in last night, and having basically not read much I bought the first booster since I had the dubloons sat there and then I'll grind what I can and see where I end up.  I'm a bit worried it won't be enough as I have a pretty busy Christmas but I I need to get the most of of the paid booster so wanted it running from day 1.

 

There is a reasonable chance I've wasted 6k dubloons but who has the time to read all of the detail? :p

i bought the Gorzia, seems like the best investment. Gets you the first three directives eaiser, and you get the doubloons back when you reach the ship at dir 3 so seemed like a good investment. Having said that, it is so complicated that in all honesty i have no idea if I can achieve the build in time... mission achieved WG!
