Nobody except those that got 24 hours a day to play AND have near unlimited stock of signals and camos is able to finish that PR grind. And here WG is telling us it's just a simple matter :) And this is WG's way of wishing us merry christmas and thanking us for sticking with them ;)

Wow, removing the video is the worst thing u could have done until now, guys... just remove a 0 from all these crazy numbers for the directives. Let humans be able to do it, not just bots. Than u maybe have happy players the want to spent some money on the game. But like this, forcing us to spent tons of money AND time?

This kind of damage control will be about as effective as triggering it on the first fire on your SE-equipped BB. That is to say, with predictable results. The only somewhat effective damage control for this would be to issue a major apology to the community, taking responsibility by completely 'fessing up that they massively f-ed it up, and then completely nuking the amount of grind required so it's somewhere within the realm of possible. The issue is that all their credibility is gone now, and they won't get it back with this soviet-style "evidence deleted" bs.

Annoyingly last year I was burned out from grinding and had a 2-3 month break.

This year I've been taking it steady, and had actually been semi excited for this grind. Had set aside time to play some ships, earn some coal/steel, and hopefully get a free ship.

 

Instead it's a resounding eurgh. I'll probably get the steel from the snowflakes via coop but that's about it.

Surely not? I mean WG are so transparent when it comes to this sort of thing - it's probably removed for our own good. Nope, there is no unlying reason or covert motive behind such a thing. Get that idea out of your heads straight away. 

 

In any case, the dockyard event has been a GREAT SUCCESS according to the spreadsheet - everyone's talking about it!

That's probably the only thing in chat during the vid. And i couldn't blame those people if it would happen. I hope the people with an ounce of respect for their customers in WG also opened their mouth and let their fellow employees know this is not how you treat your customers, free ship or not. This is one of the most blatant middlefingers I have ever seen a gaming company pull towards their community. And there have been a lot of those fingers raised lately by the likes of Bethesda, EA, Ubi, Epic, Gearbox, etc.
