I wonder why WG doesn't understand how short-sighted their policy is.

 

I understand that WoWs isn't a project untill 1.1.2020 and they plan to develop it and earn beyond that date. They don't need a typical December "window dressing" with fake, pumped results like in banking or investment business.

 

So why they decide to shoot in their own foot ? Let by example my case.

Few days ago technicaly I "finished" WoWs as a grind-game. I have all reserchable tiers X plus some coal/freeexp ships and even a NTC ship. As of today there is nothing to discover for me in this game.

My premium expires in 5 months. Had they simply made PR a long-time grind, like e.g. object 260 in WoT,  I'd probably take the challenge, prolong premium and try to do those "350k freexp" missions and maybe get PR somewehere around summer.

But they don't seem to be intrested in me paying for another 180d premium. They want some (?) quick bucks in December to generate frustration and a feeling of being showed a middle finger instead of a loyal customer that might be tempted to sponsor this game for another year(s) ?

 

Well ... comunist economy wasn't the brightest, so WG doesn't seem to be

I hope that WG feels that this, to put it mildly, misleading quick money grab was worth it.

I am going to add that literally nobody thought the Puerto Rico would be an "easy" grind. So WG needs to stop thinking its because people are "butthurt" at not being able to get it. WG's valuation of the Puerto Rico is extremely misguided. How you arrive at the value being 2-300 dollars/euros when a tier 9 premium is literally 70-80 euros with a tier 8 being 45-50 euros (I'm from the UK so doing the conversion to Euros) makes no sense for a tier 10 to be so much higher. With that being said the grind is impossible. Plus it's Christmas, people are likely to spend time with family meaning even less time for games than normal.

 

The whole event is a PR disaster and a clear disrespectful mess towards people that support the game and content. No one is asking for it be easy, we ask that it's honest, doable under realistic circumstances and also not carried out in a deceitful way which tries to get extra money out of people in the way that you have set up the expensive boosters + impossible grind + eventuality that people would need to fork out even more money when they realise they don't have a hope in hell over Christmas to complete it. - It's a disgusting trade practice.

 

I can't actually believe the arrogance of WG and it's staff with the continued backlash from this event. I bought Santa containers this year before looking at depth into this fiasco. It will be my last investment in World of Warships and it doesn't matter what WG puts out as an apology (if they ever do, which I'm doubtful at this point) - Screw the forum post by Sub Octavian, that isn't an apology. You (WG) have taken too long to react and instead, brushing it off like we are being unreasonable.

Used goods like what 1 crate 2k coal and some flags they just RIP OFF ppl for money , I have every think in me Acc exept the Santa Container that i can buy if they give me back me Doubloons its just Predatory Markieting to rip off ppl and you ppl should be ashamed of this respond you think we are 10 years old kids taking Visa from mom and paying 10 $ every month for your salarys, False advertising and predatory markieting with Rip Off your player base .

You would, but the directives are so insanely difficult you would need to basically have no life. Or Christmas.. or well family for that matter.

You need to do first 3 directives, which is not hard to do if you have Gorizia, without Gorizia it is a hard, but possible grind. If you do not want to grind at all you'll have to pay another 15K in January.

Yes and you can easily get the Gorizia by finishing the first 3 directives. :)

(Is it only me that sees a little problem in that?)

Even the grind for GOrizia looks way too painfull for a casual, especially that i preety much want to check in other games too. So no, i will probably invest very little to no time in WoWs until after NY, and absolutely sure not a dime.Got some boxes for some dubloons i had and a couple more from daily shipments and one of them had Aigle inside, but still not sure i enjoyed WoWs anymore, especially during halloween and black friday events. Definetly not this NY one. SO very possible very soon i will uninstall and only stick to WoT and Wowp.

The white flag is apt... when anyone sees a PR they will fire upon it... and that applies to team mates... and the abuse... Sea Lord Mountbatten already had a taste of that but he explained he had to buy it for the videos he makes...

 

Its going to be interesting to see what happens when  "traitors" buy her.... and what WoWs will do about it? Knowing them.... nothing... well.... unless you pay them protection money... sounds about right given what WoWs are now...
