It's true, the communication was bad and it's totally on them.

 

Then again, communication is still bad, isn't it? They still don't acknowledge that you would need to put in at least a full time job's worth of effort into the grind to get PR "for free" with only expenditure of camos and flags (because apparently those are free, right? Well, unless they are used to stuff lootboxes, so you get your money's worth).

 

Gorizia is still one hell of a grind. Most players would still have to pretty much spend all or most of their gaming time during the event period to get it done. And those T VI ships you can get depend on getting Gorizia first.

 

Rewards for what directives you can reasonably complete look rather lackluster. Construction stages are a bit better but still look meh to me.

 

Snowflakes are somewhat nice. And I guess it's a good thing that I can stop playing WoWs for the next month after maybe another 150 coop games to get all that snow off my ships. And 4500 steel is not too bad, that's almost a third of a Black. The TX container drops, though...well, those are really not worth speaking of.

Good thing then that I don't really care about Guepard (I don't really like DDs), I'm already at Sinop (sold my Izmail because I didn't had that much fun in it, maybe I was playing it wrong, by that's the past) and I already have a fully upgraded Trento (with the perma camo from the Italian cruisers event) and I'm bringing for Zara.

That's the beautiful thing about this apology. They can apologize for something that they actually did badly and not change a damned thing as a consequence. Simply masterful.

Here's the trouble, though. If you need premium flags/camos, it's not for free, either. Sure, they may be "trash" from previous lootboxes but they were paid for nonetheless and they won't be available for future endeavors.

 

Besides, if WG may use flags and camo to stuff lootboxes and claim that I got my money's worth, I may also count those towards expenses for a "free" event. If not...well, then I would like to get something worth anything from lootboxes.

WG gave generally speaking as a gift for that x-mass CHANCE. I opened not so many boxes maybe some like 30 and got flags + camo. This is like open your present and there is brick inside well brick is useful but do you really enjoy that gift:)))))))))))

My 2 cents for this whole mess.

• Poor judgement and communication, which they have admitted to.
• Perhaps a bit broader apology with a 1 of each crate as compensation for misleading the players and promoters.
• Refund for those who purchased boosters before knowing all details, this has already been proved possible and done for those who wants it.
• Directives are way too hard, putting it down a notch would be great to allow a bit higher fraction of players to obtain the PR.
• The rewards for each directive missions are really bad considering their difficulty in the later directives, this should be increased.
• Overall, I do think that the overall obtainable rewards for the New Year event is generous, if keeping PR and its initial wording out of scope.
• Overall, I would personally dislike if 75% of the players suddenly could gain a T10 premium for "free", at least there should be a minimum requirement for game progress before being able to obtain it. It would turn into T10 games being full of PRs as the only T10 ship a lot of people would own, and more or less cheat everyone else from their hard work of grinding their way to T10 (whether through research, coal, steel or Free XP).

Why not make "shipbuilding tokens" exchangeable for coal/steel?

 

At least that'll salvage some of the directives - otherwise they are completely meaningless for the majority of the player base.

I paid with doublons the first booster, with the thought it will worth it; then i made a fast calculation this morning...and start to be afraid.

So i came on the forum  and understood how to grind for the "gifts". 

 

I'm no more afraid...i'm sadly desappointed of my stupidity.

Even worse...it reminds me a very nice, good price and not too old car i bought when i was young. After some days i discovered a lot of defect ...

Why all this moaning on forum. You turned heaven and earth when smolendsk came but now everybody learned how to deal with her and nobody talks about her anymore. the same with PR. If you don't want to have it simply don't buy the boosters.

I bought them and I am at stage 5:2 and it is ticking with 930p/m and maybe I need to ad the booster earned for third direktive and she'll be mine before the time runs out. The direktives on the other hand is insagne but you only have to solve 6 tasks out of 14 in the two first and 5 in the rest of them and there is a lot of goodies as rewards on the way even if you have too spend some as well. I could buy her now for 25000 d but I dont need to do so and I don't know what she'll cost reaching stage 6. I think it is good that you can buy her once you have started on her so that you haven't spent the time and effort in vain. I wouldn't wanna have her now because when she appears in battle she becomes everybodys hate objekt.

On the other hand I would like WG to slow down a little and let us play instead of solving new directives for new branches. I have 8 personal missions for my tier 10 left some of them I even not started with and I have one year to finnish them.
