Bullsh*t. WG doesn't respect the players as anything other than wallets that they believe they deserve access to. You (WG) had the sheer balls to make a thread (IIRC it was a stickied thread) about how you had to remove Belfast, Missouri, Fujin, Kamikaze, GC, and Kutuzov from the game because they were overpowered, and remove any ability to buy them directly from the store, and then had the audacity to release them in these stupid Satan crates after padding the drop list with 21 tier 5 and 6 premiums, not to mention that they only drop *after* you've already gotten every single other ship on the list. You also refuse to disclose drop rates or drop mechanics (we had to figure out the ship drop tier thing ourselves), you reduced steel on the snowflake ships (and premiums) and added the stupid container for TierX, you combined clan battles with ranked, you made the PR grind somehow worse than the grind for the Benham after being told how cancerous it was, you still refuse to do anything about Russian BBs, the German commander is dogshit compared to the Russian one, scenarios still aren't back, you still haven't done a proper summer sale for non-Steam players, the Black Friday sale was as scummy as ever, and Smolensk is still cancer.

 

I don't mind you not having respect; that's expected from a business. But I mind when you lie so hard that the CCP Propaganda Wing wants to offer you a job.

 

Edit: Oh yeah, you also changed the rewards for ship dupes in containers so it's worse.

Going through the year of 2019 let me list all the BS Wargambling threw at us:

 

1. CV rework - a disaster lasting to this day - many people stopped playing

2. RU BBs - Kremlin is still cancer to this day with some minuscule "nerfs" 

3. Kuznetsov grind - I had surgery in those weeks so I missed the most OP captain. Because Russian ballans.

4. Benham Grind - managed to do it got it for free and promised myself never to do such thing again

5. NTC debacle - I was very near to quitting the game as a whole - fortunately WG turned the steering wheel just before crashing into the wall

6. Captain Aboyneau grind.  - another totally unfair grind - despite the odds I managed to pull it off free. Then I had to wait for WEEKS to get my points for the captain. This was the point when I decided that I'll cut the money spent on WG to the bare minimum.

7. Smolensk cancer Russian ballans again comrade.

8. And finally the Christmas events

-rewards for TX snowflakes are an insult really I would rather take 500 coal than those shitty boxes.

-the amount of steel was vastly reduced related to last year

-and of course, the dreaded Purto Rico grind which trumps all the previous BS listed above.

Regarding the PR event, I won't go into details as it is already discussed, I just highlight the key issues.
-The amount of grind is insane and this comes from someone who has got the Benham for free and managed to do most of the directive grinds. I will not even try to do a single set of directives. The problem with this is that the Ship was advertised as free yet it is not free at all and this kind of misinformation is malicious. 

-The payment structure for speeding up the construction is on purpose vague, unclear, and predatory that makes players pay more after realizing that they won't finish the building of the ship in time otherwise. 

 

I was considering breaking my promise and buy one booster for the PR grind as I do have a soft spot fort USN ships but nope. In previous years, I spent lots of money during Christmas events (not for loot boxes mind you, but rather on discount premium time, doubloons, and premium ships). This Christmas I will spend 0 zero nada zilch.

 

9. And finally, WG even managed to ruin a fun event, the ranked sprint with their 1v1 BS.  Good job!!!

 

My relation to this game is becoming like a horror marriage. I have no real way out of it as its a niche game and there are no alternatives. I'm old and cr@ap and cannot play a proper shooter (quote from Jingles) so I'm stuck here for the moment.  Nevertheless, even my patience is coming to an end. 

 

WG you could so easily earn more money from me just by being fair, correct and transparent. But you screwed it up royally by choosing to go your greedy way. Is it worth to you to lose ten people like me for a mentally challenged whale who does not think before spending? Because I am sure I'm not alone.

And from what I understood we can activate the tokens and boosters even today and all this will go immediately in the ship building when it starts on the 16th of December, right?

We should not move goalposts and definitions to fit a narrative there. It is Christmas again and yet again it floods the Playerbase with a horrible grind no one asked for to be honest. For the "dedicated"... The Dedicated will have a challenge to fullfill all of this :)

The really sad part from my view is that this brilliant Shipyard Idea is now associated to one of the Major critique points many players made mindless directive Grind.

The Future is unwritten and at this point i find it rather hard to take anything announced at face value at this point. We met every year on christmas and every year you do your level best on missing out on smaller steadier profits in an efford to entice one or two more to pay for progress. 

So we get, Ranked Sprint, we get Clan Brawls , a monster Grind and a half, Snowflakes, Timed Directives that force me to play specific lines for your benefit to, don't think the fact that i have to take french or german BBs to make Free XP and generate data after a buff...... And that all during one patch.

Frankly i play EVE Online and i understand doing a margin spreadsheet there but this all is just an avalanche of endless "You need to do X". A very fullblown sensory overload. But that also is nothing new. It was berated by players witht he Crossover of Ranked and CBs.

I am at a loss here on why it has to be again such shitshow at the end of the year.

Yeah...only it costs you all of your good flags (which you have to waste unless you're lucky enough to actually have to grind said lines), all of your good camos, you have to buy premium and it costs you a few months of your time, which is longer than the event itself. And that's not even mentioning base xp missions. I don't know what the word FREE means in your language, but this is not free. If there was unlimited time for these directives I'd understand as that would actually make sense. This is bethesda level game design

According to WG.... you will spend Xmas playing WoWS 27 hours a day for the next 7 weeks, trying to complete the directives..

Week 7 will make you want to cry.

Honestly, I had a smile when I saw the rewards WG is willing to give for Christmas. Those were very nice. Tons of in-game sources and ships. Than there was others right after this event. It was going to be awesome, right? Well, of course not. As all the other companies, WG found a way to wreck it all. I'm a Human being and I can't think of a way like this to shatter people's hope. Just how hard did you guys think about doing something like this? In Christmas for God's sake?! I'm disappointed. Not like oh I'm not gonna get this bad luck... I can play 5 hours a day. I've got the time if I'm willing to spend it for this but this is outrageous, this is unfair.

 

My recommendation is reset these values. Drop them down, as an example drop 340k fExp missions to 300k. Not by much but if you do this to every mission it will be a considerable amount and people will rethink this. But even this won't be enough. You have to give us time. The duration for 9.1 would be good. Think, 1 month before the Christmas and 1 month after is pretty looking.

Dear WG, I am that player type you want most players to be: Dedicated players, who buy off ships, whether they are good or bad to support this game. I even buy random containers to support this game. I am working person. I work throughout season. I work even in my line of work, there are no holidays. Just working days with better payment. I am working entire Christmas till new year once again. There is no way I can dedicate 5+ hours every day to these grinds, work, get back to home, sleep. Its impossible.

 

I cannot grind 85K base exp in required time. That is absurd. And I can dedicate more time than average person in these forums as I don't have family of my own and my parents are dead. And us brothers spend playing WoWs during Christmas, its still absurd amount of time for working person, person with family. You can save this thing I dropping base exp requirements 1/3 or extend completion time till February.

 

But my greatest wish is that WarGaming would consider their player base when they design these grinds. They could simply make poll among the developer team and ask: Would you go thru this yourself?

Really, like for real, if you have a life, or a family, or a job or even one friend you wanna see in these christmas times, you can´t.

 

WG are just making a joke, look at Wot, look at QB and his time count with the missions for tanks, it´s a joke. If your not a unicorn, and most aren´t, it would take about 8 hours/day for that.

 

And then this, 3500000000000000000 xp, like really. Really.

 

The ones that go for this are truly insane. Or, ofc, you just get your wallet out. (Like that guy on the NA that spend like $500 on mega boxes for the Missouri, he didn´t get it, for his son), it´s just ridiculous.

 

You can´t make this sh*t up.
