v5.5.0.04 (01-05-2016):
- fixed installing AutoSpy mini icons
- replaced both stormy mods with Stormy ports mod
- updated semi-transparent minimap by fugetsu
- updated Training Room enabler
- added Colored tracers by Anthropologe
- added crosshairs: Nappelcommander, Hootorez, MajorRenegade
- added Blue torpedoes in water by Anthropologe
- added Display damage done in battle results screen
- added Turn all crosshairs into scalable ones

I have a question.

Have you ever looked at this mod?

Since this mod is legal well in the eyes of WG.

Could you imagine ... to take it in your mod package on?

Hi all,

 

It appears that "Training Room Enabler" is no longer working with latest v5.5.0.04 (01-05-2016) - it worked yesterday...

What happened to the mod that put the detection ranges on the minimap around one's ship? I was relying heavily on that mod, I found it very useful. Any info on how and where to get it?

The creator (Kvalme) stopped the developed due to some changes in files signing so so far they is no where to get it.

First of all thank to Aslain for the good job as Always.


 

the Byskawica livery ( that i love, is very very nice), deactivates  camouflage to all other normal ships, premium Anshan but exepted all others premium ships, that mantain the premium camouflage.


 

This happens even if this choice is the only one selected.

The problem with ship mods using a modded premium camouflage like Blyskawica is - WG uses one camouflages.xml file only -  for all ship configs. So if someone did an other mod editing this file, the last mod installed will overide it with its own settings. Everytime new ships are developped I have to extract the camouflages.xml and write the values of my ships to it (Blyskawiva, Nikolai and Murmansk) - very boring!!!

 

Aslain had to write an intelligent text paser for this camouflages.xml - editing the settings for each ship separately. This would be an tremendous work for Aslain.

 

Don't know why WG did this software engeniering decision - most other stuff uses single configuration files - why not camouflage for ships too?

 

With this 0.5.5 update modding is more complex than before, I understand people losing interrest in modding like me. I can mod my Blyskawica for myself and i'm very sorry this mod will conflict with other mods.

 

Live is too short for modding WG titles. ;-)

I don't really understand why it is so difficult for you. I do also use my very own camoulfage.xml file (deleted all ingame camos; keep the special camos for premiums, except the premium ships I have an alternated skin for). And with a new patch I just copy the file from the old res_mods folder to the new one. Means from the old res_mods/0.5.4.3 to the new res_mods/0.5.5 and fine! And it works!

 

And, because you can be never safe enough, I also save the file in a special game folder for WoWs, where I also keep my personalised alt_header.xml file and all the skins in found interesting to keep.

 

So, I have no trouble with my skins/camos when there is a new patch!

Having the same issue with the Hakabase contour icons. I tried the Autospy ones, which seemed to work ok but some of the ship names are in Russian so uhm, yeah, back to using the default ones for now..

And that's why I overwrite the camouflage.xml after installing all mods with my very own file version.

 

  1. new patch comes out
  2. looking for new versions of the mods (or modpack) I use
  3. installing all mods I want (or need)
  4. overwrite specific files (camouflage.xml and alt_header.xml in my part)
  5. enjoy game as before

 

That's not much work or effort. Just copy+paste and clicking >ok< for overwriting. I am fine with it.

Same here.

5.5.0.03's Training Room Enabler worked but Training Room disappeared with 04.

(always used Clean install option and also tried with that remove  DLC cache option)

WFM. But, appears to conflict with the Training Room enabler mod. This may be unavoidable, since they both modify the port UI.

I don't have the training room enabled, so if there is a conflict, it has to be another mod.

 

Unfortunately I'm at work now and not able to list my mods.
