Rise of CV population?

Since this week basically almost every single tier 8 -10 match has CV's in it. Prior it would be more like 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 matches. Has anyone had the same experience or am I just unlucky?

Yesterday I played 3 matches and we had 3CV on each team, so you are not unlucky..

Yes, there's more of them lately.

Might be connected with the directives.

It would also explain the quality of these.... Pilots.

I think you have been unlucky, CV's (in my experience) are rare at tier10, maybe 1 every other game at tier8 (maybe the odd game in 30 that has 2 CV's), the over population is at tier4 and 6 because they are seal clubs, even the bad CV captains can make CV's work at tier4, not well granted but they are not 30%.

 

I play my CV's a decent amount and I have never seen these tier4 6CV games, ever, seen 2 CV's at tier 8 many times.

 

So, probably confirmation bias, I don't mind CV's, so I don't specifically remember how many times I see them, those that hate CV's will pull out 100's of examples where their game was ruined by a CV, always the same.

If you want an accurate answer, new population data will hopefully be released tomorrow.

Generally speaking though the CV population hasn't changed much over the past few weeks.

I doubt anything special happened this week. There's a mission for 500.000 dmg in CVs but thats all cv related i think.

 

Population hasn't changed all that much according to the Data i collect from marple.

Well that's the thing. If normally you have 2%, and it rises to 2.5% that means you see a quarter more CVs.

Which can be quite annoying (three CVs per side.... aaarggghH!! I cannot even find enough fodder!)

Its not just you, the vast majority of my games the past week have had CVs in.

 

Now whether that's an actual increase in the CV population of Cv players playing more I guess we will have to wait to see the stats when they are released

Most CV-players quit at T6, because they bleed credits.

I have seen them... tried how the Hermes would go after buff.

Found 5 IJN CVs... and then me. 3 per side. I think that gets annoying fast.

No, there are far darker forces at work here, specifically the all-powerful Law of the Sod - if the CV population has increased, I'm afraid it's all my fault; I've been re-grinding the IJN torp DD line (for the RB)...

The numbers suggest, there arent more CVs / less surface ship players - but for some reason this doesnt add up what we experience in game.

Literally every game has a CV in it, queue is full of CVs all the time aswell, and WG told us, majority of T9 games doesnt have a CV in it (didnt work either btw, every game had still a CV in it last i played)

 

Well i mean, one explanation is, that we actually have less surfaceship players overall, but the ones that do play, just play more. Naturally, they cant be in multiple games at the same time.

I had same problem, everytime i enter game with my Graf Zeppelin there are CVs in game...damn MM hates me :)

That actually explains a lot. Maybe this idea with a hard cap on one CV per game is not that stupid after all...

Hey I am also very unlucky… Everytime I play CV there is one in the enemy team and quite often he is better than me

Actually here I believe them, I had a few all T9 games without CV as well.

Whenever there was T8 thought there was CV as well. TX half of the time when I had CV it was me in Midway but there were some games with CV when I was in the other classes too.

Well, yeah kinda? I took it upon myself today to descent to the lower regions and whip out the (t)rusty Texas to pester the 4 CV matchups. Having a great day so far ^^

Virtually no AA at that tier and no smoke as French DD

 

Still they say a little suffering is good for the sole

Newsflash: Your french DD will not have any meaningful AA for the rest of the line...

In the time I have been playing (3 years soon) I have never seen as many CVs in the queue. And it feels like 9 out of 10 games have a CV in them. Its probably just 7 or 8 but it does feel like the CV population is higher right now.
