Well it's a bit disappointing to see the captains on the Italian ships are not automatically trained for the ship their on.
I had all my Italian premium ships commanders , stationed on the pre-silver ships,
So they would finally had some use as normal silver ship captains.
There is totally no reason to have a captain specialized for any premium ship.... for logical reason that all captains will fit for it.

Now I still have to retrain my Roma-commander / etc. captains for the ships they already on and served on ...
Why?

Are you really that cheap!

Sad conclusion, really bad business

Funnily enough, losing the good will of your "consumers" really is bad business.  Especially when you offer a discretionary product like a PC game.

WG can dish out free ships and still lose the good will of this playerbase...

Yes, but one is not intrinsically linked to the other in that case.

With this playerbase it is. There is always someone who will complain.

It basicly boils down to this: If WG does nothing or anything, somebody will complain and be disappointed and announce a buyer strike or a retirement from the game.

That may be so for the 0.1% that are idiots but in the main, that is untrue.  WG's perceived stupidity and the bean-counters ruling the roost instead of devs that play and understand the game is *in the main* the reason for the negativity you highlight.

Five examples

- NTC

- the "almighty" spreadsheet

- So "russian bias" comments

- CV rework

- ignoring CC & supertest comments re broken/toxic/bad ships

so WG have an uphill struggle to get some of us back on board.

They still should do the right thing always.

Cheap moves are not right.

There is no ONE right move. Playbase is of conflicting opinion.

I wonder why that many players complain about the playerbase if only 0.1% are idiots...

Do you purposefully miss the point or is English not your first language?

I am questioning your downplaying of the whiny nature of this playerbase.

heh, I don't find they whine when being given free stuff (often), but I don't spend as much time on the forum as you, so I'll not argue any more on that topic!

The right thing is always the right move. If it doesn't please everybody is still right.

And what is the right move, if there are multiple opinions what the right move is?

Life is no quiz show where the omniscient quiz master presents the right answer at the end...

Easy in this case. Do not touch my pocket if not necessary.

See? Different opinion.
