Can we stop the threats already?

Lately there seems to be an increase in "i'll report you to support and ban you" type of threats in the game.

It was funny at first,but now it's just annoying.....I've had plenty of people threaten me that they'll report me for aimbot(wut? it's not that hard to aim a CL guns guys....especially at 10km range.....)

 

I've even been pm'd things such as "OMG YOU CALLED ME BAD,REPORT,FLAME,REPORT!!!!"

Really.....the heck happened to this game in the past few weeks?

Besides, if you've done nothing wrong, you do not fear reports, hence they're not really a threat. The aimbot thing is just everywhere so yup. Wait for 0.3.1 for that to go away haha

Once I was in my Nagato, and I had just scored a direct hit on the citadel of another Nagato sinking it. The guy immediately said that I was reported... for what, he didn't say, but I guess it was for use of aimbot (conveniently forgetting that my shooting up to that moment wasn't particularly good, average at most).

 

Ignore them. They're more trouble than they're worth.

Sarcasm is better imho than straight-out insults. It is way easier to use that than presenting yourself as a potential report target.

Let them threaten to report you, let them report you. As long as you stay within the rules its all they can do and nothing more. So do tell them if they playing bad or are just bad just do it nicely with a smile. Frustrates them all the more if said with a smile and a wink, Blow them a kiss and wait for the steam to boil out

I have a habit of calling bad players bad,don't much like complimenting them for trying and things like that,god knows i'm horrible at playing DD's,been called bad a decent amount when i played DD's,but i don't blame them,i fail with them(managed to torp my own team mates by mistake like 4 times,tunnel vision ftw!)

As a proper beta tester you enabled replays the moment information about that was posted I suppose right? So can you post your replay where after you got this over the top pm from someone saying they would report you?

I guess there are a lot of players out there who have a different view about that. And you cant tell me that calling someone a bad player is like a friendly slap on the shoulder.

As to your temper, don't worry you're not alone. But try to keep chat friendly, if you want to rage wait until your back in your garage and rage to your division mates they usually will be laughing their [edited]off because of it and you can ventilate those anger management issues 

 

Seriously, I tend to look at it this way: if it's not positive, you're not gaining anything with saying it in chat ( and I openly admit I don't always keep my own rule, at times I've called people donkeys or the likes et all ). But I also been in situations where some other player was causing me to die because of his action/inaction and I've been friendly and told him thanks for the help man, much appreciated. When I`m angry I`m writing in chat (using good old dingers trolling method): "I hope you are well and your family is in good health" or "I wish you good day and sunny weekend".

Depends how you called them bad. Obviously, if you suggested nicely his tactics may be faulty in some way e.g. 'It might have been a better idea to defend the cap rather than chase the CV'. However ' OMFG you retard you are so f**king sh*t chasing that CV' may cause offence. Just sayin'

I played quite intensively since the beta launch, and after a short spike in trolls/flamers after the 2nd beta wave, the chat toxicity is at rather low levels and I do not see any increase lately.

From what you wrote, it is obviously due to you being more "smartass" towards your teammates than before as it seems that you are one of those who think that they have "figured out" everything in this game and entitled to judge other people.

 

I never call my teammates baddies, noobs, [edited] or whatnot, and I try to be nice & helpful in chat (starting for example in most games with a "gl&hf all", where I intend to go or support which ship...). Guess what - there is not much rage.

It is not without reason that the saying goes: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all... - as negativity brings only more negativity.

The replays are not being posted automatically if you enabled them (it must be done manually, there were instructions how to do this in alpha forums). Instead they are saved on your drive. Of course you can send them to devs if needed, but I don't really think there is any point of banning anyone unless they are doing something very very wrong. WG's intention is fixing problems in it's roots by system changes, not by banning individuals. That can be done once the game is released.

While true, a large part of making this community good/better then another WG title leis in rooting out the bad apples. Something which should be done from the start, if not the rot might spread beyond control. Though yes, first task is not community building, we're in cbt because we test new additions and hunt bugs.. or was that supertest?
