Hello,

maybe it was already asked, but i cant find anything im searching for.

I have put together some pics and voice lines for a captain i want to mod.

The voices work when every captain use them, so the mod.xml seems fine and the voice too.

Now i want to know how to set this voices for just one captain, dasha for example, so this works with her when using National Voices +.

She is a special captain with special voice files.

Where can I find the file that specifies this?
In the global.mo you can find:
msgid "IDS_DASHA_FR"
msgstr "Dasha Perova"
In the mod.xml you will find:
<State>
<Name>CrewName</Name>

<Value>Dasha_FR</Value>
</State>
What I don't find is where CrewName is defined.
Where can I find it? The Appreggio captains don't even have a mod.xml where the individual captains are referenced, so it has to be somewhere else.

I hope someone can help me here.

I'm sorry that I cannot help you, but about a year or 1 1/2 ago I was trying to modify crew voices myself and failed.

I even created a second account purely for testing purposes (for training room so I could hear what certain sound mods would sound like, using different systems) but I never got around to doing any actual testing as I was unable to extract the game's sounds for some reason.

Btw, I can however advice you to use a search program like Total Commander, with which I can quickly search for certain strings within certain directories. You should be able to find any string within any non-coded file with Total Commander or a similar program. The build-in Windows search function seemed inadept at this task for some reason.

Anyway, this is the best advice I can give you now.
