I have seen more teamwork in 10 matches of the filth event than in days of random battles

In those like 10-15 matches I swiftly played earlier only 2 games had a problem with teamwork. In all others it was people sticking together, no sniping from 100km away.

Reward structure that largely removes the RNG and tell you clearly what the maximum you have to do is also a very welcome change.

Additionally it is fun that it is not A vs B but also vs C.

if you remove the choices/options, people tend to stick together ... so no, not an improvement, rather a lack of options ...

Don't shoot opposing players

Do shoot bots

All teams move clockwise

Concentrate on rasputin

Profit

Yep, the easiest and best way but sadly there are far too many people who think 'rarr rarr fortnite must kill all herp derp' instead of thinking, 'hmm, we could all get a tons of stuff here.'

that just shows that they are not stupid ... you do the work, bring the filth to them and they just take it from your wreck ... easy

Guess we're all different: I don't find that fun, I find it frustrating. I prefer playing it in a PVE style

You basically exchanged one type of camping with another - in Pvp people stay in the back not pushing, in Raid people camp around the portal waiting for the sacrificial sheep to come back with their hard earned filth. Rewards all in all are not that great, I'll go back to Pve to grind the, sigh, italian cruisers.

Oh and...

I have seen more teamwork in 10 matches of the filth event than in days of random battles

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

Wait for suckers that did that at the gate, when they arrive with half or less HP remaining kill them and take their filth...

Seems the general way its done to me

I've seen it done but tbh most games I've played of it players have coordinated. Again YMMV

its a game mode where design and rewards encourage team work , and hey look team work goes up.

random battle is a mode where design and rewards discourages team work and promotes poor play , shocker low team work and poor play are rampant.

its like design matters or something

I much prefer the 'cooperative' approach to this mode, although I doubt it'll last after the weekend hordes arrive; when it stops happening, I'll stop playing the mode I think, as there are better rewards to be had elsewhere.

Probably only because ships have very short range :Smile_trollface:

Also yes, more teamwork than I've seen in weeks of random battles.
