[CHEFT] ForlornSailor Players 7,374 posts 11,735 battles Report post #1 Posted October 30, 2019 My god, dont know where to start. Talking about Twilight battles now. - You literally encourage griefing - You couldnt have let the portal opened after 3 mins, nooo I have to sit there with my full ship and hide from the m***** sitting with 0 collected filth themself at the portal. - But the ABSOLUTE best thing is: 8 out of 9 guys can have LITERALLY exited the portal, while one guy is having his daily glue on A1 - the game wont end. It just wont freaking end giving me my ship back. And lets face it: with our playerbase, how are the odds to have atleast 1 guy on each game that has no clue how to play the game :) Is this your idea of fun WG? You could have literally made it 3 man PvE event. Still would be grindy af but this is a s***s***. 17 4

In 3 games, i got 1/3 of what i would need on average per day, to get the filth required for the rewards. Which means, average 9 games per day, roughly 3h every day for a month. THats worse than Benham, and Benham was a ship, not only a camo.
[KLAN] KapteinSabeltann Players 232 posts 10,035 battles Report post #3 Posted October 30, 2019 I'm happy that I am not a completionist. My only event regret was not bothering with the Graf Spee as that was an easy one. These grind events. Nope... Sorry I primerly play games to have fun, and thats hard enough to achieve in wows at this stage by default. I don't need an anurism from awful grinds that can be sabotaged by whomever feel like it at any time.

[CAIN] Jethro_Grey Players 5,207 posts 25,733 battles Report post #7 Posted October 30, 2019 I‘ll give it a go, but if it turns out that there are griefers in each game, it would be a bummer as I wanted to dedicate two days to the Halloween event on my stream. I don‘t feel like putting up with this kind of crap in general and on my stream in particular. The questiond are, is it widespread and if so, what will WG do to discourage or punish this kind of behavior? I get the whole collector/ bandit thing, but c‘mon. Don’t allow them to sit near the exit. 1
[HPF] Ocsimano18 Players 3,476 posts 13,949 battles Report post #8 Posted October 30, 2019 It's called infernal camo for a reason. It's extremely addictive, but it does not worth in the end. I opened the tier 8 camo, but I don't think I'll grind the tier 9 or tier 10 camos.

I mean it is actually quite fun when a truce is in force, but getting ambushed in the final run to the centre, feels terrible, it makes a lot of sense the they are selling the filth. WG made a prisoners dilemma that (surprisingly) most players figured out, and go truce and clockwise every game.

The only difference between the two of us is that this same revelation hit me much later: August. I still collected most of the anniversary stuff available for me during september, and have hardly played since. I havn't even hit the 1-hour-per-day-mark in october. Usually, I was done with the 20 daily missions by the 10th of each month - now I barely finished on the 31st, last thursday. Having an IRL life again seems so abstract, yet unbelievably comforting. I am actually thankful - without any sarcasm - for WG having screwed up this game (as well besides WoWP a few years ago) in 2019 to the extent that they actually managed to cure my 15+ year-old addiction to online games as a whole.
[BAD-F] Sir_Grzegorz Beta Tester 798 posts 16,103 battles Report post #19 Posted November 5, 2019 I have checked what will fall out from first crate and it did happen that first crate for T8 was a camo. So I played two games (first attempt in DD was a disaster). Second attempt in BB was a succes. Just getting filth, getting to portal, turning 90% damage reduction and leaving bettlefield. I have no idea what people scrambled around portal had been thinking, you can only kill a DD, rest has invurneability. Will not play again, as it does not even count for most directives progress.

[--] Captain_Newman Players 2,147 posts 16,474 battles Report post #21 Posted November 5, 2019 Personally, I'm fine with this game mode, not sure why people are complaining so hard. As with anything in wows, it's most fun when you do it in a 3 man division on voice comms. It has shown a few things about the player base, albeit things we already knew; most aren't too bright, competent, or trustworthy. People asking for truce and only farming bots at the start, then those same people opening up on you is pretty much normal. I go by the rule of, if there is a truce, I won't fire first, but I will position as if they are going to attack. Seems to work fine most of the time. Honestly, I'm ok with all of this. Having an enemy team break the truce, then wiping them all out and taking their stuff can feel quite rewarding. Quick example of some from a yesterday's game: my 3 man clan div made a truce with another team that asked for peace. We weren't completely thrilled by it, as we prefer to farm Rasputin on our own, but hey, they didn't try to sneak attack us, they turned secondaries off, were careful not to ram, so, we won't be a-holes. In comes the 3rd team. Geniuses in a 3-man Rust Nightfall (basically, Hindenburg, and honestly kind of a weak ship in this game mode). They start spamming my crocosaur. With AP. For almost no damage. Oh dear, oh dear. Div mate tells them in all chat "I wouldn't do that if I were you". They continue firing while sitting almost completely still, full broadside. I target one of them and 1-salvo kill him from full health. Karma, she's a b**ch, but she is fair. I type "we did warn you". The guy I murdered swears back at me - I thank him for the salt, it's always a nice bonus when that spices up my dev strikes on the enemy. My div mate in a scorpioid breaks off, kills the rest of them, and fills up on all their filth, while the rest of us kill Rasputin and fill up. Two teams that worked together leave with full holds, one potato team all got exactly what they deserved. Seriously.. how is this not fun? It's the closest you can get to piracy in this game... What I don't like is the random nature of the rewards. All my clan mates got their t10 permacamo from this event, ranging from it being in the first bundle, to like bundle 11 or 12. I'm on bundle 20 right now, and still no camo. I feel like some of them are still playing this mode more as a favor to me rather then because they want to - after a bunch of games you do want to go back to your normal ships. But I still feel the event is fine, just wish WG wouldn't be so obsessed with having RNG literally everywhere.. Just have a requirement of this much filth for a t8 camo, that much for t9, and that much for t10. Then it's fair and transparent, this "you will have to do 100 games and your friends get it in 10" is just bs. Enough RNG already, either run a game dev company or a casino, stop trying to do both at the same time.

Even veterans like me have their fun when in a triple division. I must say that the portal camping hyenas are ruining the fun for others. A triple division of good players just eats them like a snack. Had a case of this yesterday, two teams camping the portal like it was the summer vacation spot, waiting for my team to bring in the Rasputin loot. End result, two teams dead due to a combination of suicide bot DDs and my team being smarter than the average bear. We left the battle in style with 2,7k filth in the hold. Both enemy teams got around 40.
