Changes in the non-linear addition of the continuous damage caused by AA guns.

In update 0.8.2 we implemented a method that granted a non-linear increase to the continuous damage inflicted to aircraft by AA guns. In cases where the number of ships sharing a field of AA fire increases, the continuous damage caused to the attacking squadron is lower than the total combined sum.

 

Checking the mechanics in 0.8.9, we found that the damage is no longer reduced as described above. The reason for this was a bug that appeared in version 0.8.7.

 

However, after analyzing the current state of aircraft carriers and their interaction with AA, we decided not to make additional changes. This means that the AA damage won’t decrease in any cases of overlapping AA zones of ships. At the moment both aircraft carriers, and ships interacting with aircraft, are in a balanced state when taking into account the latest global changes - rework of AA zones, updating the mechanics of the priority AA sector and large-scale balance changes. However, if in the future it is necessary to use this mechanics, we will be able to quickly turn on it back for balance reasons.

So, as the "bug" appeared, that ships disappear after getting undetected was removed because leaving in a bug would be to risky for further mutations.

 

And now, the AA system bugged out and it's all fine? You must be kidding?

According to a reddit post WG also believes that they buffed AA with 0.8.7. So meh, nothing surprises me anymore.

Keep in mind the same company stated "Grozovoi with DFAA exceeded AA efficiency that of a Kremlin". And you can't have puny bote being better than big bote, even if both are russian:cap_tea:

What a joke.. balanced?

Yes... because no cv player attacks a group of more then 2 ships at the moment. Otherwise the squadron is killed almost instant.

That means cvs doing mostly spoting the first 5- 10 min.

0 ship damage and 0 aa damage is balanced... yes.. but.. eeemm...

Or they are brave and attack from the flank. But its not really funny to make some damage and lose 12 Dive Bombers in exchange. And with the "wrong" ships u lose them faster than you can say "balanced" and still got 0 damage.

... the "devs" are invited to try it themself. Let them play some rounds TX and they have to attack groups of ships. ... have fun with the firework and the laughter of the enemy players.

On other hand, you have people who can reliable shove payload when attacking multiple ships. So if you can't but they can, spreadsheet says things are, on average, balanced:cap_book:

When u use the data from all Tiers... perhaps yes.

But not in TX.

A single smolensk.... no problem... 2 smolensk... tricky... 2 smolensk and a DD (!!)... ur squad is dead after first strike 

Exponentially is the Magic word.

And thats a problem as i tried to explain.

This proves what people have been saying for a long time your game is broken and you dont even know its broken. It has taken 2 patches for you to find the bug and its much easier to leave it in place and pretend it adds to game balance. You gave everyone defensive fire for free without having to invest any skill points nerfed rocket planes nerfed DB and the midway torpedoes are a joke as a Tier X BB will take around 15-18k damage from 6 torps people dont even try to dodge them as a BB will take more damage showing broadside to other ships during the turn. On EU the only Tier X CV with above 50% WR is Audacious the Hakuryu is just above 49% and Midway is just below 47.5% .Im sorry but the only Balance you are interested in is the WG bank Balance.
