Borodino battleship built for the Imperial Russian Navy in the first decade of the twentieth century, another ship for the glorious paper Russian navy ?

Ye got 21 battle stars most of those earned during the battle of crimes, battle of st petersberg and assault on the baltic sea!

dont you remember how she blew up bismarcks third sister in a one on one engagement and sunk tone in a 2 on 2 engagement with miss red star?

WOWS Version

I have no idea whats going on with this, real ships that served and have a registered pennant number should in my opinion be depicted as the original ship, for the sake of integrity and respect, some of them are registered war graves.

I am a little shocked actually.

Just for a matter of interest :- R.I.P Lindsey.    o7

Not that WG are trying to appeal to the RU home market or anything....

For a long while I considered WOWS as being reasonably even-handed when it came to Russian ships. Okay, it was a bit irksome to have the RU navy in before actual proper navies (that could actually field a navy and keep it afloat). I didn't mind so much while they had clear weaknesses and strengths - nobody could accuse the RU DDs and Cruiser lines of being broken or overtuned.

Then they whacked in the Balansgrad. Followed by the RU BS BBs. The Kremlin. Then the Smolensk. Because stuff history. Stuff reality. The decadent capitalists paying for this game need a bit of RASHA STRONK whether they want it or not.

I've been somewhere like this before...

They haven't taken on any of the muppets running the WoT studio have they?

If they have expect things like, projekt 345 or projekt 708 to appear (made those up).

actually i bloody hope they havent.

Cheshire? Cheshire? If it doesn't come with a Cheshire Cat camo, which makes it invisible during the course of the game, I don't want to know.

Like the 9.2 inch guns but, as on Bedford those secondaries are wrong wrong wrong.

Oh, and names... Chester is a ship name with a fine nautical heritage and also in the same James Bond movie as HMS Bedford and HMS Devonshire.  And it wouldn't annoy me like Cheshire does. No naval heritage at all... what's wrong with Antrim, Argyll, Carnarvon, Chester, Hampshire, Monmouth and those sorts of names?

Borodino. Hmm. Is this another go at the big guns/small ship thing they tried to do on that other Soviet BB?

I'm just glad I got to play this game before all this. It looks more and more likely that I'll abandon this game in near future. RU BBs are boring af to play and extremely irritating to play against.

5 Tier X games today and every one of them was a HE-spam fest from 16km away. I didn't care much for tier X battles before but now I just loath them.

Is there any kind of story behind that?

I do not know I would have to research it fully.

The fact the ships name is mentioned on the grave would indicate L. Neilands died on board, HMS Cheshire, plus it has his man number is on the stone.  I was always under the impression Burial at Sea, was a common practice, returning to land protocol in war time I have no idea.

In The Falklands War, Men where buried at Sea.

Wtf is that russian fantasy ship?

Who in hell in interested in this?

Me.

I do NOT care at all if a ship is historical or fantasy.

This game is a rather simple maximum 20 minute arcade game. All ships are fantasy in this game.

I hope wargaming soon will introduce tier 7,8,9,10 battleships from Hungary, Austria, Lichtenstein, San Marino, Luxemburg, Slowakia and Czech Republic.

The more ships the better, the more fun.

They have moved on from projected designs, though those sketched on napkins, and are now up to lewd drawing on the back of toilet doors interpreted as Russian tech tree and premium ships.

See the problem is: a part of the players don’t care indeed. But for the others it breaks the game. Not a good deal. WG pushes WOWS apparently down the same drain as WOT.

No these fantasy ships shouldn’t be in the game. Same for Odin btw

a) That might be "work name"

Cheshire? It's just another random fantasy Russian ship with a British sounding name. Trained dolphins that can place mines is more realistic.
