Damm really want to play them as well lol.

makes me wonder what the bb and dd’s line would be like how they would be different? (So french bb’s have better speed and also lighter armour but faster firing guns on the inaccurate side, germans heavily armoured inaccurate but gud secondaries, russian tank monster, etc).

I just hope that they don't (edited) then up. I'd rather have mediocre, all-round ships that ships that are good at only one thing.

Anyway, this is our (I'm Italian) first dreadnought (Tier 3 then), the Regia Nave Dante Alighieri

I think that the Italian battleships tech tree is going to look something like this:

Tier 3 Dante Alighieri

Tier 4 Conte di Cavour

Tier 5 Leonardo da Vinci

Tier 6 Caio Duilio

Tier 7 Caracciolo

Tier 8 Littorio or Vittorio Veneto

Tier 9 Impero (Roma with 406mm)

Tier 10 unknown

Bigger question, what kind of gimmicks they will have. No point looking at Roma as prem ships considerably predating actual line have little in common with them gameplay wise.

Dante Alighieri is gonna be a Tier 4 and you get some paper ship at Tier 3

Aha, I was clearly reading it wrong looking at the 10/07/19 game updates:Smile_facepalm:

I have to admit I too saw that date for the new patch I can no longer find a date for the release and the warships portal isn't working on most links either.?

This is where you can find the info about the introduction of IT cruisers. It follows a similar pattern as previous branch releases in the recent past :Smile_honoring:

Greetings, Crysantos

That link just shows a blue screen. Waships portal not working?

Just make it inaccurate and long reload. Most italian ships will be undergunned anyways.

plus its not like wargaming cares about lower tier balans just see world of tanks complete bloody mess.

or you could have her but then shes under gunned https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrea_Doria-class_battleship

Shame the release is so close (cause it would mean that there is still a chance of them being majorly changed like the RN Cruisers were), as I was excited when the ships were first announced and now I have no interest in them due to how they have been gimmick'd into a boring play-style... Such a waste...Please for the love of GOD don't do the same with the RN Heavy Cruisers but I have 0 faith that it will happen considering how gimmick ridden the other RN lines are...

Guys, every Tier 3 battleship is the first dreadnought of the nation (Kawachi, Nassau, exc.) and in the case of Italy is the Dante Alighieri.

As far as the main gimmick, I prefer not to predict anything, IRL they had good shell velocity and range, while the AA was questionable.

Trivia: The AA guns on Roma were produced by the Breda factory of Brescia, which is close to where I live.

Give them a chance. I don't think their play stile is designed to be boring and from what ive seen the SAP is very consistent.

Some times I feel that everybody just wants an op line that they don't actually have to play or think about playing. The game is dummed down enough imo with auto consumables for cv's etc. I kind of want as much involvement as possible atm.

Rn cruisers arn't gimmick ridden either imo. they offer a different play style , with different attributes and like any other if learnt well and when they are best used, are just as effective... albeit high risk high reward.

Italian cruisers, if their different that's cool, I want something different.

And with the carrot at the end being the tier X monster I recon there will be a fair amount of people grinding and the reviews on you tube are no means bad so I cant see them being unpopular.
