How do you greet enemies or/and the friends at the start of the battle?

I can't say my greetings for enemies as I will get penalized, but I'm interested in yours? On the other hand, I greet a friends with something like Greetings, please play as a team and support teammates. Good luck and have fun! Or just say: seXi is on to (target). Please support seXi!

You'd be surprised the return chat you get sometimes, it's even funnier when you get a hit.

I don't like the spam in chatt at the start of a game. It's better use of the time to say where you are going and/or what you plan to do. I've even seen game were player type in chatt before starting thier engines.

 

There's a reason why militarys have something called "Radio discipline".

Make sure you have cross team chat (white) selected and press F10.

Something which quite infuriates me it's when someone on my team wishes the enemy team "good luck". Which means "I wish you to kill me easly" or something like that.

I select cross team chat by pressing "tab" but at that point the text input of the chat window becomes focused (for typing) and the quick commands e.g. F10, don't work

F10 does work. Thank you (F12) doesn't. Haven't tried most others...

 

As to the topic. 

I often greet both teams with F10, sometimes I keep shtum and just greet the reds with steel...

I don't think any commands work if your cursor is active in the typing window.

Nah, when I type in all chat: gl & hf it actually means Get Lag and Have Fail.
