Hi guys, I'm looking to improve my PR. I see them at WoWs stats and numbers and they suck, or at least so I believe they do. I'm still reasonably new to the game but have been playing WoT for many years where my stats were very good indeed, and I guess I just like to pursue personal improvement. It gives me some kind of satisfaction knowing I'm good at something and obviously, I have to learn a lot more than what I already have been learning from friends in the game. So please, give me your assessment and advice.

If there are specific ships you think I should improve on, let me know. If you see a pattern in how I might be applying a less fortunate game style? Let me know that as well, please.

Here's a link to WoWS Stats and Numbers.: https://wows-numbers.com/player/563082263,Never_In_The_Plan/

I aim to become as good a player as possible, which should reflect itself in the stats eventually. This must be possible with the help of a great community.

Ty in advance. :)

- Never.

PR is relativly useless. It is too damage focussed.

Better to improve your winrate. Your PR will follow.

  • Do not be too agressive, watch the minimap
  • always have an exit strategy
  • focus fire with your team, announce targets over quick commands
  • finish low health targets
  • Cool 4

Thank you Pete, appreciate your opinion, and I shall apply your advice to some degree.  But it doesn't really answer my question. :)

I think you can answer your own question. You see, for example, 35k damage in a Dallas over 12 games is insufficient. After that you can click on the ship itself and see how the top 100 Dallas players are doing in that ship. Now you have an indication of what is possible.

Now you start up a game and play the game. Pay attention to your damage output, every time you are sailing around without anything in your hitting range you will notice that your position is quite poorly. Same case for every time you die early, poor positioning. Every try you will figure something new out and you should get a bit better every time.
Besides positioning it is also easy if you know how the game mechanics work out. Try to understand why your shells are ricochetting, non penetrating or overpenetrating. Try to understand why you are setting fires or why you aren't. Etcetera.

Good players do have good stats, including a good PR. The reason they have a good pr is because they barely make mistakes and manage to do a lot of damage without taking a lot of damage. So a good PR is some kind of indicator for good positioning.

A good PR does not mean that you are a good player, it does only mean that you're good at damage farming.

But to answer your question: Your most played class are BBs. You have a good WR on some of them, but on most of them your damage values and your WR is too low. I think your positioning might be a reason. Although your hit rate is ok for those ships, your damage is still low. So I assume that you either die too early (no more time to farm damage) or you have trouble hitting the correct parts of an enemy ship (lots of overpens because you aim too high, wrong ammunition for some targets, etc.).

If you can provide replays from some of your games it would be easier to answer your questions.

You find a ship in which you personally are good in while rest of the community struggles (sucks)

You play that ship exclusively for weeks

?????

Profit

PR is meaningless compared to win rate to me. It does not reflect where, when and the context of the damage done. We all see the damage farmers HE spamming from long range who rarely move the whole game to help do anything meaningful. There are others doing much less damage at key places and times in the game that have much more influence on the result, those influencial players almost certainly getting a worse PR for their important efforts.

PR is very flawed in rating the value someone is to their team.
