Is it just me or has anyone else had issues with these GPU`s. I just built a whole new PC with the intention of playing WoWs at max resolution (along with other games) and the game crashed so often on the PT server that I received 30! Unsporting Conduct/Leaving Game Early violations. Needles to say, I`m a bit miffed about this, just glad it wasn`t on my main account. I ended up having to play at High/Very High graphic settings to stop the crashes. My old GPU could do that!!. Anyhoo, have sent a ticket to WG....lets see how this works out ;)

@OP you sure its not a power issue? I once did some maintenece on my rig and forgot to re-plug the GPU power connector so every now and then I ramped up the grafix (as I played older games as well) - plonk, took me some time to go take a look inside and realise the problem, needles to say my next sentence was :etc_swear::etc_swear:and:etc_swear:

At peak load your GPU will pull a liitle over 240w from your PSU. You could have a PSU issue - it's too small for the load demand at peak running, or a thermal issue as your case can't handle the thermal load.

Have you tried turning all the graphics setting down to minimum, to see what happens? If your PC stays up longer before dying then that would lead me down the thermal issue route.

And of course, I assume yo have the latest GPU driver update and not just the ones that came supplied with the card.

Don't know very much about graphics boards but you definitely not need an exttra fancy one for WoWs on max graphics. I'm using a passive cooled Gforce 1050 which manages just fine and never gets any hotter than 81°C.

Thanks for the replies chaps. It's not a power issue.... EVGA 850w.... the PC has no problem with any other games at all, just WoWs. Not OC'd, never goes above 40c..... 'tis a head scratcher.....

Ok can we please have more information.

It's a PC you built yourself yes? Can we get specs, driver versions, crash logs, OS and version etc. As usual update drivers, BIOS etc make sure there are no conflicting programs.

Same here, RX5700 with 19.10.1

Support wants me to install Catalyst 15.7.1 version which was released in July 2015 and claiming Wargaming is recommending this driver and newer ones are not compatible with WoWs.

I dont want to install a 4 year old driver, so my support ticket is still in progress

3900x, not OC

win 10 64 bit

5700xt driver version 19.10.1, but it happened with 19.7.5 and 19.9.1/2 too.

ROG Strix RTX2080Ti here with the same issue. Exactly 3 minutes and 45 seconds into battle every time.

edit: due to the size of last update I had to reinstall WoWS on another drive. Now the game runs much smoother and without any crashes so far. So I guess the update solved the crash issue for me. I don't think it was a faulty SSD - although quite old, it now serves as dedicated StarCraft drive and works like a charm.

I also have this issue and wargaming says they have no fix for this issue but unistalling the realtek audiodriver helps a bit but for me the 19.7.5 driver is stable and works fine with audio driver so try that one out and the game should work.

My Radeon RX5700 XT from XFX Raw II ultra is also only working with the old 19.7.5 driver. In every newer driver (up to 19.10.2 tested) I get black screen.

Other games are working, so I think there is a problem with WOWS and the newer amd drivers. I hope it gets fixed soon, becuase the newer driver are getting more fps in many games.
