A plea to WG regarding premium ships

I was wondering if it could be possible to let CC's have a go in all new finalised ships a couple of weeks prior of release of said ships.. To be honest I'm a bit annoyed looking at very old impressions of said ships some older than 7-8 months. And then out of nowhere they sit in the shop. Ark Royal, Yüdadachi and Yahagi example of the latest.

 

Just so we as customers can make a informed choice before buying. Now its a little buy the cat in the bag... Since we can't test drive anything premium before buying this is the least you can do.

 

Don't think its an unreasonably request, or??

Don't you have spreadsheets of your own that tell you what is worth it and what not?

I have always thought it would be nice if we could 'Rent' a premium for 24 hours, purely so we could have a brief go in one to see if we want to buy it. If we don't, fine, we rented a ship for 24 hours for a cost. If we do, then the rental price is deducted from the full list price.

 

Clearly you would need rules in place to prevent the system from being abused. Only one rental a month, and you can only use it in coop and random games.

 

We all understand a ships stats only tell half a story. If you could try before you buy, WG could get more sales. Because lets face it, if in doubt, you buy nawt.

In general we agree that there should be final reviews being released around the arrival of the ship in the premium shop. When it comes to several weeks headsup - no, it's not possible because our release schedule doesn't work that way.

 

We're encouraging all CCs to create final reviews for ships (and credit them the ships for this specific purpose) and we usually give them a heads-up (for Yahagi it didn't work well though, sorry). I understand we're you are coming from and we'll see how we can improve this :)

Just to make myself clear. I'm not asking for anything being publicised before it sits in the shop. You can always NDA your way out of it, this way you can still keep the release date confident.

One thing is in general you can just wait for the final reviews. 

A particular example where that didnt work though is the Le Terrible, since this was released and then significantly changed after release

I would really enjoy this option. If WG is actually proud of their product (  ) they should feel confident that a try before you buy option will result in more sales or am I wrong?

Hell, I'd be happy with just an empty map with 3 generic DD>CA>BB targets in order to have a quick test drive.

In WoT  sometimes premiums are for rent by bonuscode for 1 week.

Maybe we can get something similar for WoWs

Or you know make all premiums that are coming in (beeing added in the game res files in their final form) next patch or two available on the PTS of the relevant patch inside the armory or RC for instance
