0.8.8 daily crates nerf ?

From the daily exp crates I took only "more resources" as they were very profitable in coal so far.

 

Since 0.8.8 - so more than a week - I haven't seen crates that include 2x400 coal or 3x400 coal. The last one was quite rare even before but 2x400 wasn't uncommon at all and out of three crates per day it was almost guaranteed once a day.

Now 9 days of 0.8.8 are gone, I opened 27 daily crates and all of them were 400 coal+flag+free exp. 

Very bad luck or WG silently nerfed "more resources" crates without advertising it ? As they were introduced some year ago it was clearly stated that 400, 800 or 1200 coal are possible from such crate. It doesn't seem anymore.

Any experience with that ?

Its a more "RESSOURCES" and not a MORE COAL Crate.

What ever you describe there is fairly rare and was before.

I haven't seen a 3x400 for about three months. I've had about three 2x400s in the same period.

 

Having not had any coal from 20+ event super containers either, I'm happy to put on my tinfoil hat and make the assumption that the game economy has been changed - probably in an effort to promote the endless new event "currencies" and loot boxes...

The way it feels to me is that it doesn’t matter what selection you make on the daily crate you get the exact same stuff just in a different order. 

 

I generally pick the credit option which gives me 50,000 credits + some signals + some coal or free xp. Last night I tried picking the resources option and I was getting some coal + some signals+ credits or free xp.

 

so I might be wrong but from my perspective it really doesn’t matter what selection you make they all give you the same thing (only option that’s different is the random chance option at the bottom)

Didnt notice any change, had 2 x 400 coal yesterday and 3 x 400 recently.

At least nof for me, nor it ever was.

 

So accept the gamble and don't complain if you are not always lucky.

I have gotten 3x400 coal bags my self a few times over a couple of days but they are kinda few and far between.

 

Doesn't seem to have changed much from what i've seen.

 

Probs just have far lower rates compared to 2x400 and 1x400 (think thats a gurantee correct me if im wrong).

I am not complaining - just wondering cause I never felt for many months and hundreds of crates that (at least) 2x400 is somehow rare.  

Suddenly that "bad streak" of 27 1x400 crates coincidenced with 0.8.8 last Tuesday so I was just wondering if anyone has similar experience.

Let me guess, you're desperate for coal right? A ship you're looking at getting and you particularly want more coal for this purpose? The fact is WG can tweak drop rates as much as they like without us knowing, and probably do, but unless someone actually takes huge numbers of samples we'll never know for sure just what they are doing. Not forgetting the randomness of it all and a bit of false remembering on your part maybe?

 

When we really want some things we're often impatient and it leads to all sorts impressions and assumptions that are not necessarily true. Be patient.

I gotten the 3x coal box last night on my last daly crate, and the first one was a 2x coal crate. 

So i see no change made, working as intended.

I hope no one is looking at me, it took so long to do the SC crates, i dont feel like doing another spreadsheet for a while.
