I had Task Force 1942 and it  was 5 disks ( I thought it was 6). Dynamic Red Baron was  only 2 (  I thought it was 4). Getting old.  :cap_old:

I still remember the time I had to ride my bike 22km (and 22km back) to the PC-shop, that only had programs and books, and standing between adults looking at the boxes of the newest PC-games.

And now it's 64 Gb a button away. For a game you maybe gonna be selected. My C harddrive is getting full. I think I'm gonna pass.

I am so looking forward to it, now we have to wait until we can test.
for those who were allowed to test with the CV rework already have a TST profile and only have to wait for the server to go online.

I hope for the others who do not yet have a TST profile, I hope you can also test if you receive an email.
so have a little patience.
fingers crossed, for everyone

Yup and well done to every tester that helped with the rework.:cap_like::cap_like:

What a great outcome that was!

I still cant believe the amount of mugs in this world.

But i'm sure that they will listen to anything you say regarding the balancing of subs this time. :Smile_facepalm:

The naivety, don't you just love the new generation.

it is indeed important that you give them good feedback, and in the detials what is wrong and then they look at it.

Bump

I NEED to know if I've been invited or not

I'm pretty sure, that people will write here, when some got invited. Also there will be different invitation waves at different times probably, thus if you don'T get the first day an invite, maybe the following.

Just watched flamu in a sub, after just a short time he was pretty much invulnerable only actually getting sunk on just a few occasions and only then on rofl stomps., and it was also quite worrying how even an actively running and dodging BB was simply unable to avoid the homing torps which do massive damage. It does look interesting and not a million miles away from maybe being fun and engaging for all. But a few things I think need changing to stop subs simply becoming another fun sucking and frustrating mechanic, an underwater version of CV.

First the homing torps....they need dropping altogether, and the massively increased damage torps do also needs removing or reducing...why give a ship class the ability to simply 100% bypass torp protection ( at the very least you should only get 1 attempt at pinging both bow and stern to increase damage. EG, hit 1 ping hit get 25% reduction in torp armour, hit bow and stern with both pings maybe get 50%...but 100% ridiculous. ). Finally underwater speed should also be slower than surface speed...maybe 30% slower.

Strangely enough it's Russian ships that will suffer least from the sub torps as they already have low torp belt armour in most cases, whereas German and the yammy who's few strengths included good torp defense will simply have this removed. It's early in balancing stage but I seriously hope homing torps are removed, or at the very least only 1 ping attempt should be allowed at bow and stern to enhance these torps not simply ping spamming till you get it on target and making the enhanced torp hits almost a gimme. Under water speed should not be the same as surface speed. Can't wait for those 2 cv, 2 sub games.....should be soooo much fun.

Considering that BB's are currently the most powerful class them not being able to avoid torpedoes isn't bad.

I have an invite (username ends in 'demo.loc'), but I keep getting a 'Error connecting server' message. We do copy/paste the login and password into the TST accout correct? Or am I just being incredibly thick?

I have the same problem. Have tried the last 2 days since installing the 20+ GB TST version of game to log in. Very Frustrating. Don’t see any other posts from Users who’ve actually tested, so I’m guessing it’s not available yet?

Can someone confirm the size of download required for the TST server?

The 60GB mentioned is much more than I'm willing to spare.

where do we give feedback over this test version? i dont see any dedicated forum specificly for the subtests.

So far I've tried it about 10 battles and have come to the conclusion that its impossible to torp subs as a sub itself. Mainly being that you need to be on the surface or they simply always miss, and as a sub its easy to hit the dive button quick even if its just for a few seconds before you surface again if you happen to be low on air. only way to deal with an enemy sub is by having a friendly ship nearby that can fire at the sub while its trying to torp you (which it won't, but people try anyway). I as a sub have dodged torps without the slightest effort to evade them while being in periscope depth, just to see what would happen, his torps had 2 sonar pings on me (i gave them openly). None of the torps hit however, they just float passed both sides of the hull really, even overhead on the second spread.

Been a few days and still no email.

I'm beginning to believe that WG just plain ol' forgot about EU server.

Okay, figured it out. The server is only open at certain times (aka, I AM an idiot). From the web page:

At what time will be Beta Test servers be available? The server will be available during the following prime time only: 12:00 (UTC)–20:00 (UTC). This way, we can get the maximum number of real players together to reduce the number of bots in battles. This is the only time interval during which you can access the test. Outside of it, the test server will not be available.

I simply logged in during the open times and no problem.

Has all the invites been sent out or is there a chance I can still participate in the testing?

I applied but haven't received any email yet.

Your TST profile for CVs is no good, as is explained, you need to delete that one and download the new one for subs :)

The chances of getting an invite to the test server are virtually zero.I have been with the game since the first day of the closed beta test.Yet they only seems to pick streamers and CC's to test. What about giving the average player who has supported the game for four years a chance to test subs.

I got an invite and I'm probably the worst player here, has never streamed, and basicly just wanders around in coop. So there is at least one (far) below average player there. And from what I've seen, I'm not the only potato - just the biggest one.
