Hello Forumites,

Saw an interesting topic on NA forum that I have not seen here (certainly been sometimes I guess). How do you prepare for a long gaming session?

Do you have drinks, snacks , food or other things prepared? Walked the dog before you start etc

Personally I often prepare myself with water/Pepsi/Beer/whisky depending on the day, today it is a whisky and water , some snacks before todays evening session which I am about to start.

My cat has been given food. Though he usually disturbs several times despite that by placing himself over the keyboard....

"Empty blader and gut!" as I was taught in the military.

A drink of some sort next to me, beer, grog, or whatever suits the moment.

Food or snacks can make your fingers greesy and mess up the gameplay.

Other than that, not much

I can understand streamers doing that to minimise chair time, but it's not healthy.

You need to take regular screen breaks. You need to get up and walk around a bit too

I can only really play uninterrupted after our l.o. has gone to bed, but even then a cup of tea and a pee break every hour is fine.

well small breaks I do too between games + going for extra food/water other needs, I stand up and watch the game go or wait doing other stuff if I am sunk early and need to do something so I fully agree to that.

A two litre bottle of Pepsi or Coke (Traditional variety, with Sugar not sweeteners)

A Cheese sandwich for when I get hungry.

Two spare keyboards to replace ones which get smashed against the wall.

The session ends when I run out of keyboards.

A typical session can last 3, 4 or even 5  games.

We used to refer to it as Heavy or light "stridstömning".

I also need a pot of coffey.

Water and few times a day coffee. Small glass of water so it forces me to move to fill it time to time if in longer play session.

Got stuff in the fridge, some beers, maybe some cookies or stuff in the jar, that's all. If I want something, I hop on over to the kitchen in between sessions.

Of course the irony is that at any other time players would be complaining about battles lasting just five minutes before an enforced break, but if you can't hold your bladder or do without a burger or beer for fifteen minutes you've got bigger problems. So the only way to play WoWs is to pre-load ideally on whisky or other spirits so your bladder isn't full of gassy beer, and a traditional Sunday lunch as sustenance, that way if you lose a battle you won't care because you'll have fallen asleep in spawn.
