I wouldn't take offense - the thought did cross my mind briefly! These sorts of questions more usually show up in the newcomers section, whilst people who put them in gameplay are often pulling one's plonker (as it is written).

For DDs, your first ten points probably want to look like this:

Just want to throw in, i personaly would take Preventive Maintenance as first skill. If you are detected in a DD, you should always assume that something will shoot you. Whether its 1 or more guys looking at you shouldnt matter too much, as it should be number 1 priority to get undetected again (well, unless you are a gunboat DD like french or russian).

Even with LS its still preferable not to lose Engine/Rudder (and torps/guns anyway) at all.

I mean, it's still useful information. Knowing whether or not a single Gearing is trying to hit you from 11 km away or whether a hidden Zao is lining her sights on you is a big difference as to how to should engage.

I used to, on the basis that I was also shot at a lot, so reducing the chances of something bad happening seemed like a good idea.

After a while, I found that I tended to do less embarrassingly when I knew how many people had main guns pointed at me; I do think that PM is a valid initial pick though, and it's usually one of the things I go for in subsequent passes through the skills.

Probably not, but definitely lot of condescending. :Smile_trollface:

Why did you insulted me by calling me snowflake? Why do you feel the urge to be hostile toward other forimites for no reason?

OK, so this game is not that simple/shallow that I thought :D

Once you get hang of things, "far and wide as ocean, but shallow as puddle" is about right.

That's partly why (for me anyway) I keep playing this game: the absolute basics are fairly easy to master, assuming you can be bothered to read/watch a few tutorials etc., but the subtleties take much, much longer...

If you like DDs and Cruisers go down the English cruiser line (Smoke, early heal) and you will enjoy it as they play pretty close to a point :) Also you will get to play some (one especially) really fun ships.
