I think that a major part of the problem is that low tiers, as said by Flamu, teach you a lot of bad things, like yoloing in DDs. Personally, i learned how to play the game better thanks to the CCs, whatching their videos and learning from them.

Weekend players/potato teams... maybe, sometimes you are in the "good" team, sometimes you end up in the "bad" one.

Also, nobody contests caps anymore, I see a lot of DD players that maybe cap, which is good, but i often see DDs that could prevent caps, but they just dont' do it.

I also see a somewhat of an abuse in the use of smoke, most of the times, everybody uses smoke, and i can't shoot at anybody, because there is nobody spotted.

Plus, some days ago, i'd about 4 or 5, i was uptiered in a tier 8 game with my Nurnberg, did something, got killed, but i was fine with that, i was completley okay with that. The problem was that i saw an Amagi (remember that it has 32mm of armour, only 460mm can overmatch) sailing completly broadside to a Colorado and an Ashitaka (rental time for me has expired, review = beast ship at tier 7), result, he just got deleted. Now, if he was already sailing bow on to someone, it whould have been completly justified that he was sailing broadside to those ships cause let's say that he didn't noticed them. However, he wasn't sailing bow to anybody!!! If he would just have turned bow on to those ships, they couldn't have penetrated him cause of the overmatch mechanic. I sometimes get caught broadside too, but those cases, it's because i'm already angling against someone else.

Thats mostly the result of the new ships released, like super grozo smolensk, friesland, yoshi and the frenchies. they all rely on some one else taking the damage for them while  they can freefarm. as this is much easier to play and to get good damage numbers in these ships  they get much more popular. and so the game just becomes more passive as no one wants to get spotted while these damagedealers are just waiting for a free farm.

When I press battle I somehow still expected to find most people in my team actually interested in getting a victory. But they are not :(

That happens when 20 out of 24 people in a battle blame their team for losing all the time, instead of improving their gameplay :cap_book:

But I had a 58% winrate for my first 2000 games and I was really proud of it

I very much believe that this game has a newb-protection, so newbies cant get punished too much. F.e. today i tried to shoot a Clemson at 6km turning full broadside in my Orion... i "missed" 2 salvos entirely :cap_wander_2: No, i didnt aim badly, i couldnt see the ship anymore through all the water splashing around :cap_haloween: Checked the player afterwards: 170 games played. I decided to not shoot him anymore, next salvo on a Kamikaze (can hardly be a newb) right away over 5k, no problem.

Or once an Alabama being full broadside at <10km in my Missouri, several salvos i got shatters/bounces/overpens for like <4k damage per salvo. He shoots me with his frontguns in my angled bow: >10k :cap_like:

If i see a good player on the enemy team (f.e. good clan) i always feel i get more damage/citadels on them. When you shoot bad/new players, you get weird shatters/bounces, damage saturation despite being almost full HP, pens that deal no damage....

Would something like that make sense? Yes and no...

Its possible. I used to think my 58% winrate was very strange when I first started playing. I felt like I won almost every game I played and it felt a bit artificial. I remember thinking I cant possibly be this good. Its almost like its designed to lure you in, with perhaps better RNG, better MM.
