Chat ban system needs fixing. Fast.

I guess it depends on how crappy the day of the WG employee who manages your case is. Bad day, longer ban.

Good luck in getting a reply. Even if you get one, it'll be "appropriate actions have been taken against the offending player" (you can't verify it, but how can you not trust us at weegee, we are all nothing but caring and love?) and "that doesn't mean your punishment wasn't deserved, cause two wrongs don't make a right" etc etc etc

Had the same response on AW with a teamkiller (didnt kill me but killed two other peeps) this was back in 2016, but they never bothered to announce as to what to said player (well besides they don't play since the game is practically dead at this point).

 

So you have no clue if they even get punished and how they get punished. funnily enough the only time i got chatbanned was in gen chat in world of tanks around 2015 when discussing warpack and why its bad, so the mod (i even remember his name) decides to give i think it was a 24/hr or 3 day chat ban.

 

Im glad they don't moderate the in-game chats didn't solve sod all half the time and most peeps only came into vent a few messages and then quit or jump back in.

 

I would play AW with my Type 9910 again but yeah...

I will get reported for ''Merry Christmas'' and thats exactly whats the problem here. U cant get ban just from 20 reports thats only 10-20 battles and thats exactly why i have ban and thats exactly the reason why no one using the Chat - NO ONE! BTW i just finish battle 1 guy was flaming me all the time - the result = max XP - Victory - and i have fake report ofc.

Same thing here. Never had a chat ban thus far (crossing my fingers it will never happen as I can be kinda direct from time to time )

I use the chat 90% of the time. No ban in over 10k games.

As you've guessed WG is not giving a dime about chats being helpful in game : just clean aka empty. Also not listening  to the feedback about making ingame fast chat/voice commands more helpful.

Still waiting for chat bans procedure improvements so far (tried to bring my part there...)

I think WG changed their system to be more strict so a lot more words are added to their auto-filter system and the guidelines for bans also much stricter. Luckily I have a sneaky system in place that allows me to give feedback to other players with zero risk of chatban on my account and I have noticed most of the very bad players (sub 47% winrate) are actually not that stupid but simply ignorant ("hey I win almost half my games I'm not that bad!") or stubborn ("dude I have 11 other players in my team but its my fault that I have 42% winrate in a missouri after 300+ battles? I play however I want and you can go **** yourself"). WG also not making favors with no good tutorials how to be effective in a ship class and how to be a good teammate, but that could be their business model to have more ignorant players who need to spend more freexp and doubloons to get the nice stuff so keep them in the dark :D

 

I have also taken to trying to learn communication with just the radio commands including the sarcastic well dones and thank yous to teammates doing their best to ruin the enjoyment for everybody else in the team. I think this is the new normal guys... One of my clanmates is coming off a fresh 14 day chatban which used to be unthinkable not so long ago I think, so watch yourselves.

But one thing,

It does not give you the right to insult someone openly in game chat... I'm sorry but thats it.

I removed your replay because you know... name and shame.

I suggest you send the replay in a ticket give the time frame to the customer service.

be sure he will be dealt with. But thats all you can do right now.

I personally think there must be more severe punishments for backlinegrievers like that player...

Just the explanation in the post is enough.

Gives a detail about a zao, and what the player did.

So, that replay counts as a name and shame.

You can always ask the @ForlornSailor for the replay in a PM

I get reported all the time. I would estimate that if it weren't for the negreps, I'd be past 500 karma by now easily. But every time I gain another 10 karma down the line, it was an uphill 'battle' with +100 and -90 or so, possibly even more so.

I've also experienced the "you have been reported" when being 1st place with Musashi for instance, probably because the carrier got salty because I rammed an enemy BB as I was about to die anyway, but the CV player probably just wanted me to die so he could have farmed more damage on the enemy BB. Stuff like that happens all the time and to everybody.

 

And if someone is flaming you all the time, rightclick+report for bad chat, rightclick+disable ingame messages, rightclick+add to blacklist and he can flame all he wants with either you or everybody not having to read his verbal diarrhea anymore. It seems obvious that this flaming is disruptive to your gaming experience. Don't let it be. The flamers you speak of are generally speaking not really open for any kinda of rational dialogue anyway so overall it's easiest to not even try and report+block them so you can focus on your own game again.

I am perma chat banned it seems. A week ban at a time. No idea why. I've stopped paying for premium for a while now.

Just logged in now and it says I have a ban until 5th December, that's two weeks. I think it may be because I said 'Yay!' in a game maybe? Who knows...

Been chat banned for 3 days as well...now I know it could be a number of things, mainly playing the fubuki when two ships decided to yolo in and proceed to get hit by my torps blaming me for firing it forward because I, honestly, didn't think a DD would be yoloing in against a battleship or it could be the Kita game where I was loudly and honestly just frustrated that an enemy CV had my number and would just not.leave.me.alone not matter how hard I tried. Even if I sat in smoke, retreated to friendlies dude was just out to get me so I vented in teamchat about it, not anyone in particular but the air was very blue.

 

Eh either way I guess I'll just suck it up and wait the three days.

 

Is there any way I can know specifically which game I was chat banned for or do I just have to guess and shrug it off?

Nope sir, with a serious company you would have received a detailed log but not with WG :D

Harass them on support and you may get at best some of the key words that flagged you for a chat ban but dont ask anything more.

We are talking about how people express themselves and you do not seem to understand that some people can do that civilized. Probably the reason you get that many reports.

they are 146 posts here from 50 random ppl complain about exactly the same like me, means we all agree here that there is a problem with chat and why no one chat in the game. May be u should check that before telling me how wrong i am with ''express my self'' and where i grow up since u obviously grow up in better place than me.

Now implement a system where the other “reports” will burn off the recievers computer, and beat them with their keyboard before sticking the internet cable up their ..... eh..... nose and cancel their internet subscription.
