Now its useless... I want to take it off, it cost me 25 doubloons (Saipan)? NOT 250.000 Credits. I have more ships in that list... so I have to remove the all AA mod 1 for 25 gold a ship?

I have 1 billion credits (yes really), why don't I get 25 doubloons which it actually cost to change it?

Btw, because it was posted today,  I didn't play the ships between 30th - 2nd (yesterday) so I don't even get a change to go get the credits? Well done, extremely customer friendly! I don't know how it is in Russia, but in Europe we treat our customers better.

Now I HAVE spend gold and DONT get the credits. Amazing... truly amazing.

Update: I had to spend 100 gold to fix this for 4 ships.

Yes beginning this year, since I can't go back in time.... doesn't help me for ships I haven't played.

Due to a change, AA Mod1 has become useless on certain ships. To remove it for another Module I have to spend Gold. Yet, they offer me credits, I can't however get credits for ships I have played in the past 7 months. Is that customer friendly or not? They should allow to FREELY change the Module or automatically remove it for those ships, they have done that before.

You could even say that it's a soft of theft, they made a module useless, now I have spend money to correct it. I never asked for this change, why should I pay to correct it?

I identified more ships that were affected by this change than are listed in the article.

In particular, not a single Japanese ship is mentioned.

@MrConway Also, as mentioned above, any form of compensation for people who already took action to rectify the issue and place a useable upgrade in the AA Mod slot?

No compensation for me: I already fixed the relevant ships that I have. Great.

it is the time that the cv rework hit the server, and as far as I remember those modules were dismounted at this time automatically, because of the changes. So it is very unlikely that you have mounted this module on a ship and did not play asingle game it since the rework...

no you don't ... if you don't want to spent doubloons, the module is sold for half its price when you buy another module. And since the full price is 500.000 credits, the compensation of 250.000 credits is the loss you make when selling the module...so tell me, where is the "theft"?

Please note: Due to technical limitations, compensation will be credited automatically only for the eligible ships that have at least one battle played on them in the period between 30.01.2019 and 02.09.2019.

So let me get this straight:

You are telling players today, on September 3, that they are eligible for a compensation for your screw-up only if they did something four to five days ago that they had no idea they needed to do?

Are you serious?

I mean even if players didn't play these ships in that window, they still suffer the consequences as soon as they decide to give them a spin again.

Zitat

Thank you for your understanding and fair seas!

No! That's quite all right, I have no understanding at all!

My feedback is this: Please extend the compensation deadline for as long as your AA mechanics stay that way and disadvantage these players. And start publishing your news bulletins in good time, and put a bit more effort in about things like that in future. Maybe even stop producing bulletins like

https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/rogue-wave-results/

which seems like needless busy work, and use the time to do the important things more carefully.

Great; I didn't use it on any of those ships because they only had the one AA aura being affected, and I did remove it from all the ships I'd had it on because the change meant they now only had one aura being affected so the upgrade was half as effective. Or, perhaps, less than half as effective in practical terms as adding +2 to the small number of long-range flak bursts might not make those any more difficult to dodge but adding +2 to the larger number of mid-range flak bursts might tip the balance (too few and still easy to dodge, too many and +2 doesn't make it any harder).

Got plenty of credits since I reset some lines, and I sold/replaced the upgrades while those were half price, but it's still irritating that Wargaming are limiting the compensation to where the upgrade became completely useless rather than half as useful and that it sounds like it's only for people who hadn't taken advantage of the 50% discount on upgrades to change things.

WG, are you mad?

So your "compensation" is essentially us selling the module? Wow, thanks for your generosity!

How about you actually compensate us the full purchase price for those upgrades. YOU made the AA changes that made them obsolete, not us.

There is, in fact, NO UNDERSTANDING from us.

So if I have ships that have the upgrade that no longer works do I get to respect my captains for free? Otherwise, I'll have to spend 100's of doubloons, perhaps even 1,000's as I have over 150 ships on both the EU and NA servers, some with level 18 and 19 commanders.

THAT is :etc_swear:!!

When this happened there was a 50% module sale so it was only 125k each until last Friday

I replaced 6 of them at that price but seeing as the replacement was only 250k in the sale it only really cost 125k for the replacement at the time so I'm not that fussed

<edit> just logged in and received 1.5 million which I assume was compensation which matches the 6 I replaced  :-)

So this is where the 250k credits I just received came from! :Smile_great:

Well, it's certainly a nice gesture. I hadn't even given it any thought. Still no idea which ship I had put this module on :Smile_teethhappy:

EDIT: No waaaaaait. The value of the module was actually 500k and not 250k.

Well, in that case it was basically just a forced sale of an upgrade on whatever ship it was. Weird. Why not give the full compensation?

Not that it matters that much to me personally (sitting on 200m credits so I don't really care about a couple hunded k anymore to go make a fuzz about it), but still....why not simply give the full cost compensation so that noone is left not compensated?

It costs 25 to keep the module in your inventory, but instead of that you can sell it for credits.

I don't know the english terms there should be something like "Dismount" which you can change to "sell"

It's german, but it should be still clear:

Click on a Module, select another module my WOW says 'Replace for 250.000 credits and 25 doubloons'.

but you can change this selection to sell the module (for half its price as usual) instead of demount:

If you receive the 250k credit compensation and then sell the module for 250k you will have received the full 500k credit value of the module?

It's not very clear.

Sounds about right, also if you have received the credit, purchase a replacement for 500k and sell the old one for 250k you are not out of pocket and a very fair way of doing it.

<edit> For those that sold them and replaced them when the module sale was on you made 125k profit from the credit

Yes, with the new patch that changed the skills which also changed the module behaviour, you had the ability to respec for free for a week after the patch.

The information text on the AA Guns Modification 1 module, when you hover over it with the mouse pointer, still says it works on long- AND medium AA defenses. Is this because WG hasn't gotten around to fixing that little detail, or am I missing something?

:Smile_amazed:

Edited: I guess the information text is wrong and should be corrected, since other in-game information texts also make it clear that the medium AA suit doesn't produce flak bursts. And with no flak bursts, the AA Guns Modification 1 module should have no effect (?).
