Hi all,

 

What will you do with your "French Tokens" temporary currency?

 

 

I already have 1.000+ of them but I can't reach the "Philippe Auboyneau" captain...

Hard to say as there is no other option that is worth considering tbh, If I don;t reach Auboyneau I'll probably trade them for doubloons

I literally couldn't get the captain even if I tried, so I'm dumping it all in doubloons.

Signals I think are may be the most effective usage.

Some Clans, it is a requirement of the Clan to use signals, in a competitive match, no signals = no team pick.

I always use signals in competitive games as I demand the same from the team, same as I'm asking players to leave when they have economic signals up during competitive games

Since we (finally) can buy signal flags for credits, I'd also go for doubloons instead of signals.

I'll play normally for the duration of the update and i'll decide what to do with them at that point. But i think that if i'll have enough i'll go for doubloons. I don't even care about Auboyneau, i already knew that i couldn't have got him.

Well, I have a cunning plan for this -> Next weekend I will complete the French DD grind, stage 4 + buy 5 Prem containers, get some 800 or more tokens and claim my Philippe Auboyneau to command Le Fantasque, spend some 1,55m Elite XP to promote him to 19 points immediately and then waste any possibly remaining tokens recklessly on absolutely useless junk.

Nice plan. My plan was fraked - oddly enough in a positive way -  when i was gifted a paysafe card.

So i bought some containers, and with the Tokens i already had i bought the captain.

Yesterday i bought 2 doubloon packs with the Tokens i had left/ accumulated from the missions i finished.

 

And now i'm considering doing the CV missions for 45 Tokens and - far more important - the funky O.I.T.M.Whatever cam, of which i don't have any.

On the other hand, i'd have to play CVs...tough one.

The only thing that interests me is the captain - but I stand no chance of getting him without spending any money.

IMHO everyone who completes the directive should get the captain - not merely qualify for another grindy competition or be forced to spend money.

 

I think this is despicable, and brings back memories of the original stunt that these chancers tried to pull for the "Kamikaze R" event (for those of you that remember it)  (*)

 

However, as long as Wargaming continues on its present course, my wallet remains closed.

 

So I suppose I will just lose them. Couldn't be arsed in getting any of the secondary "prizes" TBH.

So you calculating on nothing in the 4 th stage and Hall of Fame?

Personally I calculate to reach the necessary for the captain, if I do not get sick or something. I have the Le Terrible so those 200 tokens have helped.

Oh yeah, I remember that one. I also remember the $hitstorm that followed. 

 

Too bad that you possibly won’t be able to get him tho. 

I know this might be hard to swallow, but i‘d spend some money. 

 

But maybe, you’ll get lucky and he ends up in the armory, just like that russian one will post 0.8.8.

I guess I got lucky that I received a paysafe card, so I didn’t had to worry about whether I manage to get the captain or not. I have a new policy regarding captains with enhanced skills tho: if you can’t grind them, buy them.

Should be 1600~ and thats including the Mogador/le terrible mission in each directive afaik.

So you need to be top 10%? in Hall of fame ontop of that.

 

Since i most likely wont play that much, ill go for doubloons. One day i might get my Scharnhorst
