What is the best Coal ship to get now?

We have

Smolensk  , Yoshino, Salem and Georgia

in the Armory to chose from. 

I do have Jean Bart (my precious)

Georgia is a great ship

I enjoy Yoshino but it’s considered weak by many

The Smolensk is widely thought of as overpowered.

 

I would go Smolensk.

I have Georgia and she's a great ship. I don't, but you can go for both secondary and accuracy because the dispersion upgrade is in slot 6 for the american battleships instead of slot 3. I went for the range upgrade.

salem gets a noice heal.

 

yoshi actually seems like a pretty decent ship a better azuma basically.

 

toinehmensk is smelly and spam HE 24/7 but can be citadelled by everyone and there mum. But generate a rediculous amount of damage especially if played more cautiously and is a great dd killer.

mining salt? Smolensk

being long range HE slinger with little game impact? Yoshino

fast and furious except battleship? Georgia

surprisingly no nonsense (compared to newer additions) ship with gimmicks on her own? Jean Bard.

Wanting to play Des Moines while playing Des Moines? Salem

 

Keep in mind tier 10 "premiums" don't have increased credit gains, they only have tier 10 premium paint for that.

I recently went for Georgia and don't regret it. People think Smolensk is OP and perhaps it is. I'd go for the ship that seems fun to play and suits you.

Des Moines I think / believe is the best Team Play Anchor Ship in the game, Salem is basically a " Rip Off " Des Moines

 

Thus even with the Reduced Radar I think is the best value coal ship currently, 

 

 

So many uses, good Des Moines Players hold and Carry Games, The Art is playing it right and your team understanding How it plays.

Smolensk...… Get it before it gets taken away. It's very strong and gives you a different playstyle at tier 10. 

 

In a nutshell:

 

Yosh: Zao and Henri does it better, save the coal.

Salam: Des does it better IMHO (CB's player and value radar more).  Because they are sooo similar, not worth it.

Georgia: Kurf and Massa does brawling better and the Republic does flanking better. But sure if you don't have them. 

 

So personally to me, none of the above gives you anything different playstyle wise and thus, not worth the coal IMHO. But many would disagree.

Unfortunately a Kronstadt and a Moskva require a different commander than a Des Moines clone.

You get 2 x Overchkins Captains both can be transferred for 1 purchase 

 

 1 x for light cruisers and 1 x for heavy cruisers  

 

Unless this changed on the new offer, I think I bought mine some time in 2018 

 

There is a chance I may of purchased 2 or won one, I can not remember.

You might be right there I do have both and see the only difference is one has one I believe AA gun less than  the other

Imagine some of these ships being added to the game.

 

Love some of the designs even if they probs will be imbalanced as hell.

 

Also 240mm russian cruiser maslov hmm.

 

toineh AA boutes as well screaming at over 50 knots (would be gud to have dem in could be quite easy to kill with stupidly high fire rates and a gud heal and noice concealment with fast speed, but somewhat big).
