Hello.

What happened to the Günther Lütjens?

 

If someone have information/speculation about Günther Lütjens I will be happy to read them.

 

For me I want my Lütjens to be awarded upon completion some sort of Bismarck focused campaign.

 

Oh and if you don't know what unique traits to use:

Master Adrenaline Rush

Master Advanced Firing Training

Master Manual Fire Control for Secondary Armament

 

And every secondary kill to give fireworks!! (And maybe heal you a bit ^^)

Edit: Here is all the info I found so far:

 

Announced at Gamescom 2019.

"Günther Lütjens - Kriegsmarine admiral. During World War II he both commanded Scharnhorst and Gneisenau’s successful raid in Atlantic, and lead the last operation of the legendary Bismarck. He went down with his ship in May of 1941 fighting the British Royal Navy."

Final edit

In conclusion: As some people predicted, WG released extremely weak (and expensive) german commander. 

I feel disappointed, but it serves me right for thinking that this time it was going to be different, even after witnessing all of WG's scams, bias and all around shitty practices. 

Well done, great job, 2019 made me lose the last shreds of good faith I had in your company.

some sort of benefit for getting a Close Quarters Expert would be neat, even if it probably wouldnt be all that useful...

1) Longer submerged time

2) Quicker torp reload

A secondary buff would make sense since that is the German bb gimmick. 

 

Though some history trolling like the suggested detonation buff would be funny

Knowing WG they will do it just because I have 19 pt on my bismarck that is full secondary build.

So I would have to train new one.

Everyone knows how WG hates me :cap_horn::Smile_Default:

 

You all know if it will have some nice secondary buffs just :cap_money:

Chances are very high he will be "the first submarine commander". WG most likely tries to put him there, even though it makes no historical Sense though, Karl doenitz would be the better choice here... 

 

For now we will just have to wait until further Information is getting leaked.

I do not think so. Subs will be a seperate game mode. And why should Wargaming waste a whole new commander (very likely linked with a new grind directive) for such a limited game mode? Commanders are aimed for the random game mode, and so will the upcoming Lütjens.

On a serious note, lol,

Fire Prevention -> -35% of fire and CV fire duration

MFCSA -> 30% and 70%

Heals back to full HP after detonating a Hood.

Rudder becomes permanently knocked out when hit by Swordfish torp.

Some serious suggestions:

Something special upon getting Close Quaters Expert

Range/reload/accuracy buff for secondaries

Maybe a small decrease in fire duration to counter the usual lack of Fire Prevention

Maybe main gun accuracy buff, because it's just awful

 

Of course, those are all massively based on the BBs. Sorry German cruiser and destroyer captains

SE : useful for DDs (and maybe Subs?)

BFT : useful if you want more focus on the guns (DDs) or faster shooting secondaries (BBs)

AR : useful for any ship class

I think Lütjens will have improved skills in tradition of the already ingame german unique commanders: they have quite useless skills. And so will be Lütjens. Wargaming will do everything to keep their special german treatments alive. :Smile_sceptic:

I hope not. As a Brit I have a lot of respect for the Historical Lütjens. I would like to see the in game Lütjens be a useful battleship commander.

I'd like to see a either a malus to secondaries but an improvement of primary accuracy.

Or a rather strong boost to secondaries without any maluses.

Not listing skills I would want but something Lutjens mostly likely has.

A set of skill that gives a boost for every ship class but does not support the other picked skills...

why? because its a german captain....

and they cant have nice things.
