Can Jean Bart 100mm Guns go over 19mm Pen?

The Jean Bart got a Pretty Big Secondary Battery.

But most of it is 100mm Guns which can even Pen a DD.

 

Can these go over 19mm with IFHE ?

JB's 100mm got 16mm pen stock, so yes they will definitely pen over 19mm with IFHE. Other than that, the 152mm guns will have a field day against DDs.

Yep they can pen up to 21mm with IFHE . But overall it's not a good build for it, not worth those 4 points just to counter DDs.

Shame jean barties secondaries are more focused on the back which means showing an ungodly amount of backside and broadside just to use them.

Is IFHE worth it in the Frenchies? I'm using the same captain for Jean Bart, Bourgogne and the silver T9 and T10 when I finish the Richelieu grind.

im still have jeany with a 13 pt captain so i might use ifhe, or maybe CE for closer funnies.

 

wish the secondary range was longer like 8km or something then her layout wouldn't be so bad, but shes still a solid ship.

I feel it's only viable for Alsace. It has a massive secondary fire volume -- I believe still the highest in game -- and with IFHE it's devastating against DD's. Unlike Jean Bart it covers all directions well. It's mostly low-caliber so  IFHE is needed.

 

Richelieu and Jean Bart have such gun layout that I really wouldn't go with a secondary build. Republique is really good with a secondary build but doesn't really need IFHE since the guns have higher caliber.

Ok I'll probably skip it then, as I will move that captain to Republique once I get there.

 

Yeah, Jean Bart and Richelieu are not the primary ships for that captain. He's just there because he's my highest French captain waiting for the grind to end so I can get Alsace (and later Republique).

Well. Its more of an Secondary Skillset.

 

I am using an Anti Fire Build Currently.

But that only take 10 Points.

So I am thinking of using the 9 Points I got to Spare. To make a Partial Secondary Build Getting Advanced Firing Training and IFHE so the Secondaries get some Use.

 

With my Playstyle I actually see them Firing very often even now.

So they are some Extra Damage at least.

 

Question is just if I go for Advanced Firing Training and IFHE.

Or Advanced Firing Training and Demolition Expert for higher Fire Chance.

 

Going for the Fire Starting Build would of course come with the Bonus that I have 2 Skill Points Left to go for Adrenaline Rush.

 

(Well in a Year or so xD. Since it will take till the Captain gets 19 Points ^^)

 Ah forget the secondaries. SI and CE. Don’t waste it on them, JB is played nose in. So you won’t be using them mostly.

I played Alsace with full secondary (IFHE) build and I had a lot of fun 

 

The Repu (how few battles I have in her) I play more survival focussed, i.e. FP and such.
