WG, do you know how to do business? Make submarines only attainable through research points.

There you go.

That's

just

brilliant.

Why Why Why..... Super players are only going free xp the entire line anyway. This is an insult to old players and unfair to a new player that will battle experienced players with 19 point captains!

What you should do is to create personal missions that can't be free XP'ed and by all means, make it so it has to be done in different ships and different tiers and make them super long (but not time-limited)... then you might have something that will interest the player that already has it all.

Once you research a techline back upto tier 10 after resetting it, does it mean the new tier x ship gets buffs??

Or is this just simply resetting a techline to get points and exchange for rewards?

What is 'Research Bureau'?

It's the magician who is waving his hands and fingers around in the air before tricking you into choosing the wrong card.

The explanation alone is smoke and mirrors, everything being a great opportunity until you realise on resetting you only get half the credits you put into a tech tree and ignoring your time, boosters, missions, and mental health put in during the process.

As I've said before, this is nothing to do with re-invigorating the game, it's all about WG dredging for an new cash cow where you need to spend boosters, signals, time in missions, and your mental health all over again.

Well how about this......idea......

I have about 20 Tx ships (i dont play CVs, i never will), so 18 grind-able T10s. I am willing to reset them ALL...TODAY.....IFFFF......

WG fires all their marketing and business development (thats what people that can read an EXCELL chart) call themselves and hire in their places some more developers so as to get this game fixed.....i.e. new maps, new content in general and whatever else is considered a drawback with respect to us "having a good time".

The people or YouTube are really loving this.

The worst rated WG video ever.

Another representation of the community desires and how WG ignores that and do whatever crap they believe will bring them some additional cash. I'm just afraid this BS will work against them. But maybe it's for the best.

The goal of the Research Bureau is to further motivate players to engage with all tiers of their favorite ship branches and earn unique rewards along the way.

Lies. Blatant lies. To motivate players to use all tiers we need rewards, like same tier fighting...

Plus, there arent any unique rewards along the way, only thing you get is Research Points after 1st victory from tier 6 and above.
Along the way you just get several hours of re-griding the same ships you alreeady have(had) or you use your Free XP to get to next tier.

Rediscover and research old friends from your favorite branches of ships, earn Research Points, and obtain more rewards than ever before with the Research Bureau.

The old friends from my favorite branches are the ones I haven't sold. The ones I sold werent fun to play with at all.

We, the players, are stupid, I know, but we aren't THAT stupid. This is just a scam to get players to pay real money for a forced re-grind - we all know you are just expecting ppl to use Free XP, either the one we have or the rest we "will buy".

F.U. WG.

No one is going to re-grind their ships like this.

At best some people will invest a lot of money for freeXP advancement and then play the ships in question for a single victorious battle.

No one asked for that system. No one wants it, except Wargaming.

That's a lie and you know it. All the feedback you recieved told you that this will not happen.

If you wanted us to play on all tiers you would create events for all tiers instead. Much less effort for a far better effect.

The real goal is to make money of those who want those premium ship rewards.

Not to mention that you just integrated another currency into the game that serves no real purpose.

We now have:

  • Silver credits
  • Doubloons
  • Coal
  • Steel
  • Ranked tokens
  • Clan tokens
  • Event currency with every patch
  • Research points
  • XP
  • FreeXP
  • Elite Commander XP

Where will this madness end? @MrConway @Crysantos

+1 to the above post

I was going to read the article about this but only reached half way through the second paragaph.  I stopped at the sentence:

You will be able to earn a new resource ....

I am so jaded at the plethora of ridiculous currencies, tokens, resources etc etc that I simply cannot be bothered with any of them.  During recent attempts to recruit new players, I found trying to explain them all frankly embarassing.

No doubt this latest unnecessary bloat will bring still more bugs and issues to add to the literally hundreds already present (absolutely no exaggeration).

I am sorry that I could not find anything positive to mention here.

Hi All,

Lets be honest this just doesn't work. I therefore propose the following:

If they want us to play more lower tiers then add legendary modules on all ships and not just T10. However to unlock the modules you have to already have the T10 module of that tree. So once you can get it you can replay your fav ships and get a unique play style etc. Giving you things to grind for....

What do you guys think?

I think you might have the basis of a good idea there! :Smile_honoring:

The only thing that slightly worries me is the proposal to have unlocked the legendary module at tier 10 (it's a heckuva grind and keeps you playing at tier 10 - which is the opposite of what this idea from WG is supposed to be against) Just let people start collecting whatever they need for elite modules once they have elited the ship.

Jesus what a desperate attempt to keep people playing .... and what a bad attempt.

"hey hear the news, for the new content grind again and again and again the same sh*t you just grinded for years, but hey ... you can get exclusive copy paste ships"

But hey ... we will get submarines ...

No, thanks WG! You can stick that idea somewhere the sun don't shine.

You just know how this is going to end up right? Lots of feedback from community not to do it. Do it anyway and apologise later (this is just a business model, to much resources spend on the idea allready, it is cheaper and easier to just say sorry afterwards)
Say you learned a lesson blahblablalba end next time do it again anyway.

It all seems so very Russian, the tech tree resets feel like punishment and Russians, wel they like that kind of thing. Work hard, get punished, work harder. Raise your voice, get send to the gulag.

So basically, you've run out of ideas and want the vastly experienced players to reset their tech trees whilst you come up with some more content?

Have you been taking advice from CCP games on how to ruin a multiplayer experience?

haha , a fellow EVE player dissapointed in CCP ? stopped playing that after years invested ... stopped playing WOT after 20 000 battles ... guess its time to stop playing WOWS after 15 000 battles... it's the treshold where devs just give up and only try to rip you off

No buffs
That was the original idea behind this but after a rather large lashback its been changed to getting research points.

These research points can be spent on ships (Colbert for now, then the Ohio will be added later)
Free EXP (12500 research for 250k free xp)
or various Flags
