ST - ranked sprints, sound and visual improvements, new camouflages

There will be 2 ranked sprints in the 0.8.8 update. The 8th sprint will feature battles between tier VII ships in the 6 vs 6 format, and the 9th sprint will have teams of 7 ships at tier VIII.

 

We continue to improve sound and graphics of the game:

  • The sound system was updated: the mechanism for sounds of guns and engines was improved;
  • Ocean, Big Race, North, Fault Line, Polar and Islands maps and the Philippines port were updated for the new lighting model. They also feature the changed sky due to improved technology;
  • Towns are added on the Crash Zone Alpha.

 

Bismarck, Cossack and Ark Royal had something in common: one of the most famous cats of WWII "served" on them - Unsinkable Sam, that you might remember the story from this video of Head Over Keels. Each of these ships gets two camouflages: one shows how the ship looked like when Sam was on the ship, and the second is with an image of the legendary cat. Bonuses of the camouflages are the same:

  • -3% to detectability range;
  • +4% to maximum dispersion of shells fired by the enemy at your ship;
  • -10% ship's post-battle service;
  • +50% Experience per battle.

 

Details about obtaining these camouflages will be published on the game's website.

Having a nice alternate camo on Cossack and Bismarck would sure be cool*.

Fingers crossed for a mission reward.

 

Wasn't next Sprint supposed to be T6?! Goddammit, I'll never grind through Icarus... Anyway, T8 is too high a tier for Sprints. You should leave T8-T10 for regular ranked.

 

*I obviously mean the historical ones, although the Sam ones aren't that bad either.

Guys, please give us a slider for the loudest sounds, It can't be everything under SFX!

There are nice sfx that require higher volume, and nasty fx like explosions that require very low level if you play with earphones or headphones!

Eliminate that 2 Port and Battle music with just one as it was. The other use it for the loudest sfx!! easy! Don't think anyone will complain if missing 1 of 2 music sliders!

We need a volume for ship explosions that are set to the general game volume which are too agressive.

 

I can defend you it's for historical/gameplay accuracy/reason but it s not good at all. thx.
