It feels like the bottom half of this article, which would explain the in-game event, is missing...

Certainly got me curious what this will be, I assume we pick a side  then have to complete certain objectives in order to get rewards, anyway I do like the set up story line I look forward to learning more.

I am fairly certain that it will be like the battle for the Philippine seas we had in June.
