Looks like Wg is trying to do something similar to the British line IE. make them unique and a different style of game play which personally im all up for. No HE ladies and Gents instead we have SAP (semi armour piercing) and a moving smoke generator similar to the Perth but faster as it can be deployed at full speed and still conceal the ship?!! Yeah but with them player will have to THINK which is better ammo type to use in certain cases and aim at different parts of ship to actually do damage. Which will be hard for majority... Or you could just load SAP and do 25k salvos on demand to any target (except DDs) from max range as long as you aim for the upper belt with the tier 10... [SICK] Exocet6951 Weekend Tester 5,151 posts 11,809 battles Report post #17 Posted August 3, 2019 Just tried the Montecuccoli's SAP on a Kirov at point blank range. 54mm pen, couldn't for the life of me citpen one of the weakest belts and most vulnerable citadel in the game. I'm not sure why I would bother with that, and sacrifice 50% of my reload speed, when HE does similar damage, no chance to ricochet, doesn't have a damage cap on DD, and sets fires. I'm getting the worst of both AP and HE worlds, with added nerfs on top. There's no point in letting the public play (after grinding quite a bit) WIP stuff if it's barely functionnal. Just give the s-AP gimmick to the RM BB line (change Roma as well) next to normal AP and tweak them accordingly AFAIK that was the historic god damn ammo setup in a BB anyway and make the cruiser line fire normal HE/AP shells, HE shells can have more alpha and less fire chance or something and with that smoke and no hydro its enough of a trade off and gimmick-ing 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I was wondering this. Being that the Italian line will be so different to the existing Italian premium ships, I was thinking that by the end they will be a million miles away from them in play style as they will have 1. totally different ballistics 2.
