So I had the idea when looking at the sail training ship in the Hamburg port and it reminded me of this pic with the Queen Elizabeth and the ship of the line HMS Victory at the bottom.

Just replace the Queen Elizabeth or that destroyer with your ship and that would be a really classy port imho.

But we got the traditionally Naval port of London instead... :Smile_trollface:

Dunno why they added London before the traditional home of the Royal Navy :fish_palm:

Because HMS Belfast, perhaps? The London port is right where she's moored.

True, but London was never a Royal Navy port, really. Devonport, Portsmouth and the Solent, Chatham, Solway or Scapa would be ideal. With this playing in the background (live from the wardroom of HMS Nelson...)

You could have the German fleet in the process of sinking in that port :Smile_hiding:

Lovely pic of the Rodney.

Yes, Devonport or, if WG must, Portsmouth would make more sense than London.

I would like Portsmouth Harbour to be modelled it would be beautiful having Victory and Warrior in the background. Still I can understand why they went for London, as was said Belfast is moored next to Tower Bridge and it is instantly recognisable as being British so for the international community it is an understable choice.

Hopefully they will add Portsmouth in the future, maybe to coincide with the launch of a alternative branch of British battleships (battlecruisers).

This is it, exactly. I've spent many happy days in London after the war, and it feels good every time I see that port in the game.

As I've also spent many happy days in Scotland, I can only agree.

And Scapa Flow would go fairly easy on the graphics, as well!

The RN in the period of this game has more iconic naval ports, dockyards and anchorages than all of the other nations/lines combined:

Portsmouth

Plymouth

Scapa

Clyde

Rosyth

Belfast

Chatham

Gibraltar

Malta

Alexandria

Aden

Mombasa

Simonstown

Accra/ Ascension

Bombay

Calcutta

Trincomalee

Georgetown

Singapore

Hong Kong

Esquimalt

Sidney

Port Stanley

Kingston

Bermuda

Those are just some of the major ones.

I think the RN should at least have Portsmouth, Gibraltar, Malta, Singapore/Hong Kong.

Then again, this game is all about modern marketing, and not historical acknowledgement....

When it comes to aesthetic game design, those two go hand in hand. So I think w can look forward to a steady increase in available ports.

Nice list of Royal navy ports, by the way! :Smile_great:

Bleak doesn't have to be bad. There is a port mod of Murmansk in the Aslain Mod pack, I think it's really great.

This is Probably an unpopular opinion, but one gimmick (victory) wouldn’t be enough for Portsmouth to stand out from all the other ports which are also dockyards.  IMO we should get a museum port first.  I like the idea of the azur lane port but find it to anime like...

A Spithead review would be good. Lit up by fairy lamps, of course.
