Long story short

i know nagato have those 8 410mm shells which is hell if they the right place , anyway i was in random battle , it was t5-t7 game , it was an easy but the problem when i encountered OKT REV and tried to brawl at 9km range while he was STOPPING

once my guns reloaded i fired

and from the 8 shells only 1 shell hit and it was overpen , i reloaded again  and shoot , nothing hits

i was like Excuse me wtf??? , at point blank 9km brawling an stopped OKT REV the soviet t5 BB , and only got 1 overpen from 16shell

holy crap , even in my gnesenu and the german ((dispersion)) i can finish him easily

so wtf was going on??

i noticed those 410mm shells was going up over him OR hitting the water 0_0, which leads to him killing me in the end

i have the ASM1 on  my nagato btw

can anyone please tell me wtf was going on there ???

Nagato is known for a quite random dispersion.

It can be very accurate at times and others it just doesn't hit a thing.

Normal Nagato things.

IJN dispersion is usually wonky close up nagato beeing the king in that regard dont brawl with it unless you have to and shoot turrets individually

well i know amagi is better in every aspect , and she can give tail and have 6shells ready all the time , but at close range is she considered a brawler ?

lets say against Vlad and Lenin exclusively ?

IJN Ships are unfit for close range brawls in general, this should be avoided.

Amagi has an easy to hit ciradel and she is very long. Turret traverse is terrible too so you have all the disadvantages if brawling.

Although I believe the OKT REV is also magically protected with  SOVIET AURA, because I can't hit them good even when on Giulio Cesare.

so how you can kill those 2 ships (exclusively) if you dont have what it to be a brawl , and those 2 ships bow on tanking??

i meant i have had that one game in gnesunu where i needed to do something and kill that SINOP that was holding the whole team back , I did killed him and we won the game after shortly and i was the first on team score

so exactly what to do in amagi if there was a LENIN holding the whole team back and the team cant push because of him ?????????????

@Mohammad_S__AbuSafieh

Ships which are not moving are hard to hit, thx to WGs auto aim correction. For that reason, the shells will fall short. The only thing you can do, is aim a bit higher and hope that you still get a citadel :cap_old:

Press x to remove target lock on ,but firing without lock on gives you a malus on accuracy too, so you're screwed either way

is there any way to disable that?

Not really. It has to be in the game tho, because you wouldnt hit ships that well otherwise. F.e. you would shoot into islands against a ship which is close to it. You can see that when you are aiming at a ship sailing away at an angle towards an island. You would hit that island without it.

It works against you against beached targets aswell. The game "thinks" the ship will be somewhere else. So even if you account for that, by aiming where the target will beach, the game will automatically correct it for you, thus shooting into the island....

As you'd expect from 2.0 sigma vs 1.8 sigma on the same guns. But I guess some people rather ignore that they have the same guns and Nagato is just straight up more accurate.

Any real data on this ? Nagato has 2.0 sigma, while Amagi 1.8.

Proships.ru is showing too, that Nagato is more accurate. From my games I remember how Amagi shells were landed constantly everywhere, but not on standing nose in cruiser on 11-12 km ...

Anyway JAP dispertion on short ranges is bad, even compared to German standards ...

Till 9 km is similar to ... tier IV Wyoming ;-)

And what will happen when brawling Soviet's "glorious" made on paper, ships  ? Kaboom !
