Hi

I don't understand how ramming works.

My question:

So, if there's one ship left on both teams, and one ship rams the other. Who wins the battle and why?

Thanks

(Sorry if this is a stupid question)

Just now, ColonelPete said:

If both sink immediately, it is a draw.

If one survives, the survivor wins.

draws actually exist in this game??

Thanks

It does.

A DD will probably not sink a BB by Ramming, unless the BB is at really low health.

It's pretty rare, in my over 7000 battles happened only twice. First time I do not remember, second time it was when both teams socred 1000 point holding bases or caps at exactly the same time. I heard from my friend playing from the CTB that draws were much more common back then.

Not so much CBT, as even early post release any game that didn't end by base capture or all ships dead ended as a draw regardless of point advantage

I started in OBT and I remember that draws were a thing back then. Very frustrating after a full 20 minute game. After the introduction of the points-system I think I've only had two draws.

On a side-note: Wonder why the points-system hasn't found its way into WoT? It ads an extra dimension to the game IMHO.

If two ships ram each other and both die the team with more points wins. If both teams have the same amount of points it is a draw.

I think ramming is more common than you think. A percentage? Dunnow anything from 2-5% of games, especially if your team has a lot of ships and your adversary doesn't. There's also a ramming signal flag which gives you a better chance of surviving being rammed or doing the ramming yourself.
