ROGUE WAVE EVENT

42525876-9733-11e9-acfc-38eaa735f4cc.jpg

The reasons why this once thriving civilization crumbled into ruins have faded from most survivors’ memories, but what remains makes a perfect arena for ruthless battles.

In the desolation-themed port you’ll find modified destroyers that have been created specifically for the new unusual four-team battle format.

The objective in this game mode is very simple—a team of three players needs to destroy three opposing teams. You can fight either in a Division or solo.

Each "Savage Battle" starts on the outskirts of the destroyed city. At the beginning of battle your ship carries no consumable charges, as the world is on the brink of collapse and everyone is constantly forced to fight for the limited resources. Replenish your consumables by activating bonus areas, and beware of the Wild Fire slowly engulfing the aquatorium.

The Rogue Wave event is available only during Update 0.8.5.

Rewards and Armory

The rules of the Rogue Wave event are similar to those of previous in-game events: you can earn Fuel Tokens, various in-game items, and a new expendable camouflage for completing special combat missions and Directives in the new game mode. Rogue Wave includes four Directives, with each containing up to eleven missions. The reward for completing all four Directives is U.S. destroyer flag_USA_dd9fc06d19a8638f4077ab2fe200d22premium_dac9e09cf46059e1432206f07fdb2eab V Hill.

Duration

Event starts: Thu. 27 Jun. 10:00 CEST (UTC+2) / your local time: Thu. 27 Jun. 10:00
Event ends: Mon. 22 Jul. 06:00 CEST (UTC+2) / your local time: Mon. 22 Jul. 06:00

Fuel Tokens are a new temporary resource as part of the Rogue Wave event. You can exchange your Fuel Tokens in the Armory for Post-Apocalyptic camouflages, credits, Premium Account, and a special reward—Premium destroyer flag_USA_dd9fc06d19a8638f4077ab2fe200d22premium_dac9e09cf46059e1432206f07fdb2eab IX Benham.

Fuel Tokens can be obtained in Daily Shipments and for completing Directives, economic missions in Savage Battles, and Daily Missions.

If the post-apocalypse theme catches your fancy, you can keep the permanent camouflages for the following Tier X destroyers as souvenirs: flag_Germany_18970d883c7758b53538983bd09normal_578f4cb5e5bd1007d5df8ade07a8c4836 X Z-52, flag_Japan_740b57e1da9b5d3fe46b61e09e3dcnormal_578f4cb5e5bd1007d5df8ade07a8c4836 X Shimakaze, flag_United_Kingdom_c1f75d7cca85dc4b4820normal_578f4cb5e5bd1007d5df8ade07a8c4836 X Daring, flag_Pan_Asia_3b66d1136c736e56c9f2f7cda2normal_578f4cb5e5bd1007d5df8ade07a8c4836 X Yueyang, flag_USA_dd9fc06d19a8638f4077ab2fe200d22normal_578f4cb5e5bd1007d5df8ade07a8c4836 X Gearing, flag_Russia_6ce701e1c2f2ac3909a68a0a7b23normal_578f4cb5e5bd1007d5df8ade07a8c4836 X Grozovoi, flag_Japan_740b57e1da9b5d3fe46b61e09e3dcnormal_578f4cb5e5bd1007d5df8ade07a8c4836 X Harugumo, and flag_Russia_6ce701e1c2f2ac3909a68a0a7b23normal_578f4cb5e5bd1007d5df8ade07a8c4836 X Khabarovsk. I played around 5 battles in the new mode, and I am already bored unfortunately. It doesn't help the fact that you get like 700 xp per match on average and the grind is pretty bad for the next DD, not to mention the Benham. It was fun for 2 battles and then it got stale.

Typical WG add new content before sorting out the core issues with the game. Same thing happens in WOT, don't know about WoWp as I do not play it. Seems to be that WG are not interested in sorting the games out just adding new content in the hope that the player base will forget about the rubbish we have to live with every time we play the games.

After five games i realized two things:

-This mode is boring.

-WG doesn't deserve my money.

ROGUE WAVE is totally out of the spirit of this game! (personal opinion...but except atoms and void, everything else is opinion :) ) .If I wanted to play a shoot them up game  or FPS I would have chosen otherwise! The main reason I have stopped WoT was that WoWS was a more relaxed game using more brain than pure reflexes and this is its dinstictive feature from many other games. This event cancells the whole spirit of game turning it into a "grinding shoot them up game" I am old (50+ years) and playing 2 or 3 battles in this mode is a bit funny but having to grind it in order to get Benham is very strenuous and out of the spirit- I think- of this game. I remember games like World of Warcraft that you had to grind and grind and grind to upgrade your gear, RW reminds me this bad aspect. Conclusively and always in my opinion,  RW is a chaotic game mode with silly reflex requirements, strenuous after some battles and boring too (no content). I can not imagine how a country that likes chess and thinking came to such idea. But we must take the "pill", if we want to have Benham, I guess.

Worst Event ever seen in Warships. You have only klick in and grind, grind, grind in a stupid, borring modus, where you have no chance of win if you not a 3-man-divi. This is so waste of time. Warships was for more then 3 years best game ever, but 2019 is so damn bad what happend to my game - I must try to find a new one for me - this is complete going the wrong way for me.

It ia actually a lot easier to win solo than you might think. Rarely do I see a full division alive at the end. The key to winning is avoiding fighting at the start and gathering consumeables, and then being very aware of the map circle shrink and the best positions. I have consistently seen my team mates die early, been alone vs multiple opponents and triumphed.

It is actually a very good mode for honing DD play in close quarters.

Another heavy arcade headless chicken mode. Well, if some like it be it. I'd happily skip it if there was not premium ship reward behind this sh....! Basically I am forced to play something I hate so what can my dedication to result be? It is also a trap for number of victories and rewards tied with it. Why anyone wants to play arcade in purely 2D world (water surface ships) when there are tons of titles way more suitable for brainless shooting is beyond my understanding but well, there are worse things happening these days.  Simply I want to get through this pain ASAP.. How can you call this "DD" play I don't get... It has nothing to do with DD battle style.

Not sure if this is the correct section for this but....

My in game combat missions do not show in the port view other than the daily challenges and also the Rogue missions themselves - so I get the progress reports after each battle, but cannot see the actual missions themselves.

Whilst I appreciate your attempt of trying out new modes, it s insanely frustrating that "Savage Battles" are tied to the Benham campaign, ppl are basically obliged to play this very mode over and over again in order to complete the tasks of the campaign. This fact alone pretty much gave me a bad feeling but omg, little did I know till I tried it out....

This mode is basically the worst and most pointless trash I ve ever experienced. I d rather play the old bastion mode with UI batteries 10x as strong than this pile of absolute and utter [edited]... truly staggering....but hey in the context of all the rest you guys "achieved" since 8.0,  why am I even surprised....

It was only at the end of the battle that my Friend and I noticed how many kills our team got.

This mode is proper fun to do. cannot wait till the next Event/Mode.

I posted a support ticket and they advised be to post this here.

Whilst I enjoyed this new game mode, take a look at these screenshots. My team won the game, I sank a ship AND survived, still managed to lose 1k worth of credits. I understand the Destroyer credits mechanics in the usual game, but this is an event which is designed to be enjoyed by everyone. If I am going to be losing credits everytime I play a match in the game mode, then there is simply no point to it. Can someone please look at this and get it fixed? (Even if you just earn 0 credits, its better than actually losing money)

The last minute of battle, and approaching wildfire makes the battle enjoyable.

But still, waiting for the end of timer for crappy 700xp or just make a solo-yolo suicide run for 500xp much faster....

this whole "battle royale"-thing just feels so..... outdated allready....

I was appalled by grindiness of it, but it is actually not that bad. YOLO, kill something and hope you score enough. Luckily, games last 3-5 minutes at average.

However, the event is pointless. The only AND ONLY reason why I am playing more than 10 battles in total is Benham. So, frankly, dev time wasted....
