I reached my usual goal of Rank #10 in 6 battles on the first night... I simply have no nerves to go further than that every season...

if you take over 250 battles reaching rank 1 you need to stop and get better before playing ranked again. the reason people dont enjoy ranked is because of the bad players in it who do stupid things. you said you wanted honest opinions so there you go.

Or you can just go in CVs and star-save your way up the ranks in a fraction of the time it takes the other classes.

But why? I don't understand why people are blaming bad players and rentals. We should thank them instead because they allow us to progress much faster. Your own impact on games gets much higher if the playerbase gets worse and so is your winrate.

Ooo I smell a bit of salt there ;) funny how playing cvs in ranked doesn't work for some people though.

yes i wanted to stop by 200, i was at rank 6. That was last week, but then i thougt: no i want tor each rank 1 no matter the cost in meaning of teamkillers, noob dd, cv wannabees etc. I faced a lot of defeats in which i was ranking the highest in my team, calculated around 280 lost battles in which i was highest ranking player..... so yeah what is the definition of a bad player, someone who takes 500 battle or someone who never reaches rank 1 and has 500 battles.

 

wargaming decides my team, and the trick i got from the well known players is to get it in 100 battles by picking your play time. I did not do that i just played no matter who was online. Cost me 500 battles, and you can see that as bad player definition in that way.

I did the same ; but then I became greedy and tryed to move forward. 

Result: big headache , vomit and nausea. 

Stopped playing wows and turned to WoT, whre during the same week there was a most intersting event Frontline, wihch I completed toiday and got my reward Tank :) 

 

Do WoWs and WoT staff talk each Others ?? Do they know what does it mean coordination of activities ??

That a shitload of crap. It is much more easy to farm dmg (save star) in GC or Henry

Unless of course there on your own team repeatedly. Which can happen often enough. I had a game with 4 dds aside we had 4 shimas they had 3 and a gearing. within 5 mins 3 of our shimas were all sunk to the ocean floor. You could imagine how the game panned out after that.

This shows how broken Ranked are and that this is biggest grindfest in wows. I can show you guys with 47% WR and 1000 games and R1.

 

This mode has nothing to do with skill, teamplay od strategy. Most important is will to press BATTLE as many times as needed no matter what you do in game.

Absolutly i went from 10 million credits to 49 million credits with those 508 battles + i bought a hindenburg full upgraded so i earned in total around 65-75 million with ranked this season. But indeed this shows how broken the ranked idea is.

For instance in CB number of games means crap. You can not grind your way to higher league by just pressing BATTLE. 

 

Wg needs to rework Ranked to implemented similar thing to Ranked. I do not have solution now, it is on them, but they need to do it if they want Ranked to be anything similar to competitive gameplay.

I tried it with Rentals to R5, after that I played my own tier 10 ships. I almost dropped back from rank 3 to rank 4. At this point I was done with Ranked and went potato mode on my Hakuryu. CV is just easy mode when you have a basic understanding of the game.
The regular surface ships aren't dominant enough compared to CVs.

Of course there are games that can't be won. But the bad teams will even out after enough games and even bad teams can be carried. The chance for rentals to be on the other team is always higher if you don't play a rental by yourself. If you would only play with unicums there is no chance for you to progress.

I got a solution:

now: 

Clanbattles: fight with your clan a other clan.

Ranked: fight as sollo warior with a other solo warrior in 7 against 7

 

Solution:

Clanbattles: same

ranked: Make it 9 against 9 with groups of 3 clanmembers in a division:  so that will be 3 clans against other 3 clans in a match. You can still keep the ''save star'' reward for the losing side. 

 

This way you eliminate the people who are bad and you force people to work in a team of 3 + this is a perfect way to train for clanbattles AND make clan more ''a real clan'' Now you got those low clans with bunch of selfish players who are just ther for the oil and the benefits of a high level clan and not contribute to the clan in means of building a team.   

 

so you get:

training for clanbattles

teambuilding

stronger clans

more competivity

Elimination of individuals who ruiend it for others.

 

NOW comes the big problem, the waiting time in que. 

 

you can resolve that by making ranked a team of: 2 division of each 3 players and 1 (3 by 9 players team) random individual playes by 7 players team as it is now. T he problem with this is that you still get that annoying solo warrior, nasty lowlife players stuff. But that lower that now by only 3 player in a 9 player team and 1 in aa 7 player team

Yes bad teams evens out in long run. That is why this is more of grindfest than anything else. You just can not carry many times when your dds dies in second minute or you have 2 totally ussles ships in them wondering on other side of map not shooting 15 minutes

And usually I do, but DDs have problem of saving star. It is ship that is most important for team and one that has hardest to save star. 

 

Last season when ia played i play dds. Have over 60% wr in it but progress was slow because saving star was hard. 

 

Than went to yamato. Wr was lower (around 55%) but progress was much faster because you mush easily save star in it. And ranked 1 in yamato. 

 

Dds are most influential class (with cvs) but hardest to be first in due to importance of dmg in exp gains.

That's true. I only kept my star twice out of 6 loses (I played DD only). But imo it's more fun to play for the win than for the star saving.
