So upgrading my Implacable TBs will give me negligeble speed and hp advantages....and a very steep increase in Aircraft Restoration?

Why would anyone take that upgrade downgrade?:Smile_facepalm: Same deal for Furious and possibly, Audacious btw.

Did i miss something?

Hi.

I don't know if my input is worth much but i feel that the speed increase on for example Ranger planes even if it looks small really helps in plane surviveability and in increasing your overall response times.

Overall the increased speed let's me put out damage faster too and is very useful if i try to set sticky fires.

No, you carrier players will soon have your own game mode where you will play between yourselves.

Oh cool! Will fighter planes make a return and when will it happen?

I haven't followed any announcements so no idea really.

It would for sure be interesting to play especially with surface ships controlled by bots that need protection.

Increasing overall response time i definitely the main selling point.

The downside of RN CVs is they have very low hangar size, in addition to having low resroration rates, so losing planes really really hurts.

Getting uptiered i find myself often running low / out of aircraft in RN CV compared to other CVs.

I bought Saipan two days ago because i wanted something more powerful than Ranger.

And i noticed the advertised slow plane restoration...

I believe playing Saipan will make me very conservative and i like that approach.

Maybe you also need to consider target selection more in the future with the RN CV line.

Yeah Saipan sucks, i regret not refunding mine. Enterprise has turned out to be the best tier 8 CV for many reasons: AP bombs, original fast aiming time of RFs, OP fighers, fast plane restoration...

I play fairly conservatively in my Implacable where target selection is concerned. Plane losses are due to tier X aa and / or lazy playstyle, turning sometimes inside the midrange aura or hit F inside multiple aa auras.

It does?

I haven't played her enough yet but so far i really love the torpedo bombers. They feel very powerful and create alot of floods and her rockets do amazing damage to BBs too unlike the ranger which doesn't even scratch BBs.

Also Saipan has higher tier planes which just don't die!

I'm having fun with my Saipan!

I thought about getting Enterprise but... i will get her another day!

It's good you are enjoying your Saipan!

What i mean is, I bought my Saipan in the old RTS days when it had flat out broken strafing mechanics, now it is just a "regular" CV and Enterprise is the new broken tier 8 CV.

Since I have a Midway with exactly the same planes (just more of them), Saipan doesn't offer anything special and is collecting rust in port

This is true, big E and Lexington are second to none, Saipan meh GZ pointless kaga, sometimes OK, anything British, trash, i forgot earlier though to take out my Furious, so maybe tomorrow now.

Get the big E now, and see the difference, Saipan is a tier 7 CV moved up a tier and to me it shows very starkly, talk to El2aZer about the big E, mid you he would make a sweeping brush OP.

Hello.

Thank you for the suggestion. Now you see... my wallet is not a limitless magic portal so i will get the BigE in a more distant future kind of "now".

What really irks me when it comes to the British CV's is that you can tell WG originally intended the upgraded planes to have better munitions as when you upgrade  your planes the 'Mark' of the weapons go up as well.

Seriously, go take a look at the Furious, the stock planes use the same torps as the tier 4 Hermes and the upgraded ones use a mark higher... but it does no extra damage (guess they got rid of the warhead to make room for a tea making kit)

And then the implacable uses the same torpedoes as the upgraded Furious planes but somehow gain extra damage (magic)

Ha ha, neither is mine, in fact it resembles a ducks arse more lately.

If you like the Saipan, you WILL love the big E, and don't forget to grind the Lexington too.

No luck involved, due to the massive speed of the t10 planes you can hapy predrop to conserve, chose your target and hammer it.

Saipan is really fun.

The Saipan does better then the Enterprise in my stats. One thing to consider is you are thrown in on tier IX-X matches all the time. Even hard tier X matches where you ( and the enemy  CV ) are the only lower tier then X. You will have to deal with multiple Minotaurs and their like and every ship, even DD, have strong tier X AA.  It helps to have tier X planes then instead of tier VII ones of the Enterprise. It is pure frustration to be thrown in there with a Kaga. ( tier V  aircraft ? )

It may be the Enterprise is stronger in lower tier ( own tier ) matches due to it's squadrons size and yet durable aircraft. But i don't get too many tier VIII matches.

Implacable holds it's own but feels weak in high tier macthes. Slow aircraft and high tier AA dont mix that well. The most surprising difference is between Lexington and Shokaku and Implacable, the 3 tech tree tier VIII CV. Implacable is not the weakest of those 3 in my hands.

But maybe it is something else.....my favorite CV have purple WR. Maybe you are just better in what you like to play most ?

I sold the Shocking, as it did not have the torp drops of the Kaga as for the tier X CV's i find then rather pointless, torp drop on he Midway far too wide, he Haku i cannot make work at all, and the Atrocious is what the tier 8 Brit CV should be.

Implacable is but a joke, if I get more than 30 k damage I am lucky, bomb drops are far too slow, and torps across the aboard need a huge humongous buff, one salvo on any CV should be able to sink a Cruiser or BB in one go, two at the most.

And that is the last thing they would sell well unless they fix carrier problem.

Nobody will buy premium ships just to be shitted on by your beloved carriers.

I guess they have shortened the lifespan of the game with at least 1 year with the stupid carrier rework.

Already in Ranked people leave the queue when they see more than 1 carrier.
