Dear All 

 

I would take the time to thank WG for another brilliant idear.

 

Putting Rental Ships into Ranked tier X. 

 

I belive i dont really know anyone els who could find a better way to [edited]up an working concept more even if they tried.

 

Do i oppose rental ship's ?  Not at all it is a great idear, but only giving them for Ranked fights is like giving a child a complex nuclear device and say, well you only get 1 try at getting it right. 

 

On top of that MM does not take into counter if there are rentals or not, so you have risk at getting 5 rentals on your side non on other, and we all know that is great ballance. 

 

Not only did you make Ranked harder for like 70 % of population you also managed to make it yet more anoy'ing, so if you want to include lower lvl. players why tier X every time.

 

But thank you for making the ongoing effort [edited]up game.

Oh PS its so funny to be reported 60 times a day just for playing your CV another wonderful effort you made there with reporting system.

I actually had a rental montana in my team today who was a unicum (maybe he just didn't grind that line like myself-montana is the only tier 10 ship i don't have). He played well ofc and that minor consealment and accuracy shooting at your ship disadvantage don't matter much in good hands. But it was an exception. Had rentals who rammed the island and couldn't figure out how to get out of there.

Ps.: being reported then you play a CV is a common thing now-you don't carry - reported by your team, you carry too hard - reported by enemy for playing op class.

I miss the old days of ranked, when there were no rental ships and everyone was skilled.

you were lucky, whats the chance that rental ship will be played by good player ?

I met one rental hindenburg today, he was playing well...but the rest 10+rentals I met today were utter garbage

rental has no place in ranked

No, my Montana id ground up and paid for, the salt comes when I try my CV's, co ops are boring, randoms too frantic, ranked, flak makes them impossible, so they just sit pretty in my port, still the up shot is that I play other classes more.

Well it's a false assumption to think players automatically get better the higher tier they play in Random battles, so why should Ranked be any different?

 

Ranked isn't tier X in every season, so even if it was tier VIII you'd still have 'lower level' players but in their own ships instead of rental ships, so what difference does it really make? The only difference would be the lack of square brackets around the ship name so people would have to go back to good old rants in chat. 

 

If you want to concentrate your anger on lower level players you'd also have to factor in the simple fact that as the game gets older those 'lower level' players will eventually grind their way up to tier X anyway. So you are only putting off the inevitable if you get rid of rental ships now, lower level players will eventually get to tier X ranked battles by themselves, maybe next year, but it will happen. Let them play, if tier X Rental Battles is a shock for them maybe they'll read a tutorial ready for next time.

A frienly reminder to everyone. Dont waste your reports by reporting the same CV multiple times. Only the first report is registred so the rest are wasted. Spread them evenly so CVs dont go unreported.

Ranked gameplay is totally different than random farming dmg. Here team must stay focused and make good crossfire. If they all go lemming....well... lost. 

Even with cv in game they need to decide into 2 small groups for AA support and focus on win. While rentals come just to have some fun , not caring about anything. Nobody would be mad if they would be doing the objective. But they don’t . Only 10% are somewhat competent, rest is just.....

I'd put money on the fact anybody, experienced or not, who does a Ranked battle is at least hoping to have fun. But it's a bit of a sweeping statement to say rentals 'just' want to have fun and nothing else, such as the satisfaction of a job well done. Why would they have fun if they lose?

 

But the idea that only good players with their own ships turn up to play Ranked battles doesn't hold water at all. Yesterday one of my teams had two DD's (both players each had thousands of battles), both of which went off freelancing and firing torps from the back of the map. After they both died early on they spent the rest of the battle in chat moaning about their teammates. Now does that sound like a Ranked battle or a Random battle? 

 

Rental ships are irrelevant to who turns up to play a Ranked battle, they could be good or less good, but if they look a bit clueless why not direct them, how does anybody learn? How did you learn, did you drop into Ranked battles fully formed?

I agree, they have to stop thinking ranked is 2nd random, here you have just to win and only think about it, not farming damage or losing your ship “for fun” without looking at score or team position / hp. But this needs strategical thinking, which lacks in 60% of people in general.

For that to work WG has to design a Ranked mode that is more then just Random with starzzzzz

thank you wg for giving out rentals so i have easy targets on wins, quick losses to spare my time and mostly no cv's thx to flood of rentals. much appreciated !

 

most rental players are indeed skill-wise the same i encountered any season....

 

 

and its not like we'd had a bazillion threads lately on the same matter, which ofc couldn't fit op's attitude or opinion....

So far I’ve played most of my ranked matches in my Midway and I’ve not had one person being salty. Might be the exception here but I think I’ve had more karma my way than ever before 😂

Well same here. Mostly rentals are not salty, nor other players towards them. It’s not their fault WG gave such thing and they just use it.

I totally disagree.

This has nothing to do with beeing good or bad anyway.

I can understand the rental ship system for clan battles, as this require seven clan members, and to make it easier to reach the required number of players the rental thing is a nice idea in that context.

But for ranked? No way! There are already enough clueless players, no need to add a bunch more with rental ships they didn't even play in random battles before!

This is totally crap, and definitely will impact the experience of players in ranked. 

I agree with OP, the rental system per se is not a bad idea, but only for clan battles imo.

If you want to play ranked, obtain the ship you need! Or ask wargaming to stop with ranked being in tier 10!

Because otherwise you clearly wouldn't even attack him...

Not mentioning that most CVs that try so hard to snipe someone out just waste the whole match with very little result. Try something else to appear manly.

I have had CVs focus me and only me the whole match. Just last night I was in graf spee and had the same Ranger two games in a row who only spent his planes attacking me

As long people are playing this flawed turd of a game mode, WG will not bother to change anything. 

 

the Main issue is, that WG is catering to the masses of casual players hence why they hand out TX ships to everyone. And they couldn’t care less about the problems that bad/ ignorant players cause for the rest, as long as enough people play ranked.
